One of the best deck-building roguelikes I have played so far. It’s such a shame that Balatro received a PEGI 18 rating, especially when there are other games far more ”harmful” to underage players than this one.

If you have a powerful rig, the graphics look absolutely epic. However, Wukong is really demanding game and most gaming PCs dont run the game all that well. Story of the game can be bit hard to follow, but its not necessary and you can enjoy the game without diving too deeply into its story. Most frusturating thing for me personally were constant use of invinsible walls that break the immersion of the game easily. Gameplay-wise, the game is great i wouldnt call it a soulslike its more like a boss rush game or something like that.

I had really high expectations for this game ever since it was announced. This game lived up the expectations, Except the story and characters could have been better.

If you liked the base game, you’re going to love this DLC. It’s well worth 30€, at least in my opinion.

Easily the best roguelike game I have ever played.
