I've only put a days worth of time into the game at the time of writing this and I still have ways to go to 'completely complete' this game. Yakuza Kiwami is a story rich action beat 'em up which is a remake of the PS2 version and I got to say, what a overhaul it was.

The game's story is fairly short compared to Yakuza 0 but just as enticing with detailed cut scenes that reflect the original version very well. The length of the story may make the game seem short but there's a lot more to do outside of the story which can leave you busy for a much longer time such as side quests, racing RC cars, gambling, karaoke, bowling and finding Majima (personally my favourite) just to name a few, this just shows the game is very rich in terms of side content but looking from another perspective, some players may be put off by the length of the story alone and may not be huge fans of said side content.

The gameplay is a mixed bag in my case as the game, especially the fighting. As the game is a beat em' up, the game would be quite centred around the combat which is fun at the start but can become quite repetitive and tedious as you're practically doing the game thing over and over which is hitting specific buttons in a specific order but the game does give you a few fighting styles to choose from which can be changed mid-combat and each has their own use which gives some variety. There are also enemies, especially bosses which have uninterruptable states when attacking or just in general which means they can't be stunned by your attacks so you would have to wait until they stop attacking so you land a few hits in, making the fighting more tedious and has angered me before. There is also a mechanic which is the heat gauge which can be filled up by landing successive attacks but can be depleted if damaged and if filled up then allows you to perform certain actions which are emphasised attacks which look devastating and painful, and there are tons of them which adds depth to the whole fighting system in my opinion as each action has their own conditions like what you hold, where the enemies are, etc and pulling off a specific heat action can have devastating effects and can be very satisfying which I would say makes fighting worthwhile.

Overall I would say the game is very rich in content and the fighting has a lot left to be desired but can be overlooked as it does give variety and can be fun so I would totally recommend it to anyone who's looking for something to play and get into, sure it may not be for everyone but you never know until you try. If you're more of a story kinda person then the length of it may put you off but I would still recommend it as it offers a great narrative which can pull on heartstrings and honestly the story alone is worth the price.

8/10
I'm really looking forward to playing Kiwami 2.

Indeed not a long game but it's not a short game either, a lot can be taken from the experience and alot can be explored in the game by collecting collectables, etc... Storywise it's straightforward, save your friends by going through puzzles and exploring, a normal story line which can lead to a few twists while saving a few of them. The soundtrack is something I found dear about this game, going through level by level, dying over and over with the soundtrack keeping me in high spirits and makes me want to keep playing, the whole puzzle and "press space to invert gravity" is a nice touch and can lead to some challenging puzzles which can take effort to get through but is worth to say the least but there is one part that stands out the most challenging and that is "Veni Vidi Vici" which in order to get a collectable you have to go though this insanely difficult challenge which I could not do so I had to leave it, the ending is something to look forward to with the game ending with the last legit level called "VVVVVV" which gave me the chills, I do recommend the game to anyonle who enjoys puzzle games with a challenging aspects to them, in my belief I'd like to say this game is a masterpeice and just by looking at the title you'd thing some kid just held down the V key with Caps Lock on but really it can have more meanings than that like the 5 characters names all starting with V, etc... but back to the point, this game is an interesting take on puzzle/indie games and would hope more games like these would rise.

So I've had a try at this game for not that long but long enough to realise how great it is even though it hasn't got much to offer. The game does only leech of one map but thats more than enough with the map being filled with easter eggs, fun, etc... It's a great way to mess around with friends, it's fun since the game is just Left 4 Dead but just on a farm, even the little details make the game a whole lot better like the day where you can go full rambo and explode pigs with a single bullet which does make quite the spectacle and the where you keep shooting a part of a pig upwards causing a combo to appear which can lead to fireworks, just the game overall is easy to enjoy if you have the right things set, but not every game is perfect, as I said before the game does only have one map which can be quite limiting for the players since they can only keep playing though one map and this game is alot better played with firends so if you don't have friends who play the game and you only play singleplayer then you're not getting the full potential of the game but you can always play with strangers but its not as fun. Back to the verdict of the game, I do recommend this game to people who have time to kill and friends to play with and you can always play by yourself aswell, it's a nice arcade like shooter offering quite abit for a small package which can offer many laughs from the plot to the easter eggs.

I'm gonna come out with right off the bat, I like this game, it's a fast pace sort of game which gets your mind thinking and keeps it active and those sort of games can get me entertained for a while, a long while. Took a few hours to figure out what was going on in the game at first and then I started to get it which got me interested since I actually knew what to do. Aswell as the good gameplay goes with its fast paced dodging goes it also has its very fitting soundtack which indeed fits well withing the game and gets you hyped and going for a while until you've listened to all of it, lets be real here it only has 6 tracks, and don't get me wrong it has got its punch and all, and to be honest I do think its enough. So overall I think this game is very promising even though I never got through the first stage but it has got potential, I'm telling you if you love extreme fast paced games.
