Disappointing

Sort your remote play out.

Absolute garbage.

Controls are trash, you've gotta fight to bring up any type of power shot bar to give an accurate display of the power you're going to use.

Basically you've gotta pull right back with the mouse or analogue stick fully as if you're going for a full power shot, at that point a power bar appears centre screen with it already full, then you've gotta move forward with your mouse or stick until it starts to reduce to where you want it. But most of the time the bar gets stuck at full and you've gotta mess about with other buttons to "unstick" the power.

Most shots end up being an accidental shot with you going forward quickly with the mouse.

Everything else is fine, just this simple thing with the controls.

I like the map itself, it's just a bigger Hirschfelden which is fine by me.

What got me to leave a negative is the fact that nearly 90% of trees do not give any cover what so ever.
As well as all the usual mission breaking bugs and rehashed animals to go with it.

I've got over 700hrs in Cotw and enjoy it alot but can't deny this like most of their DLC are just a big bug filled mess that takes months+ to get fixed if ever. It's just a quick money grab for the company so they can carry on the cycle.

Just plain awful.

For starters the alien rulers they've added are way OP; having the ability to take a turn after every one action you take. Then on top of that they thought it would be a good idea for them to just turn up randomly in missions. I had one turn up on a escort mission with five turns remaining to evac.

But whats even worse than all that is the cosmetic choices of the weapons and armour. When you eventually defeat and acquire all three leader armours it's like your squad are going to a cosplay competition, it's so bad. How the hell not only did someone think that was a good choice but also for it to get the green light is insane.

A single playthrough can last from 30 to 90 minutes depending on your route.

There's nine squads in total, all with unique playstyles and all having 3 achievements to strive for, giving the game a high replayability.

Good grahics, sound, atmosphere, ballistics; good hunting.

Very basic fishing simulation though enjoyable to an extent. The major reason for the thumbs down has to do with the price of their DLC; £8.99 for a extra lake to fish. The devs are clearly milking this mediocre title for all its worth.

XCOM: Enemy Unkown is turned based excellence and a fair revival of the original 90s classic.

For anyone looking for a turn based strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unkown won't disappoint.
