So far I have about 12 hours in this game, It took me about 10 to beat the intro missions. This game is difficult, no doubt about it, that's what makes it great. By far one of the most difficult single player games I have played, although, settings to increase ai speed and aggression would be welcomed. Some things I like about the game is the fact that I can turn off the objective and crank the FOV. I game on 21:9 and these settings really help immersion, I would like a setting to decrease hud size, but its not really a big deal. I like the fact that you can turn off the threat indicator, It makes the game more difficult and thus more fun. I like that the gas mask is not only a game mechanic object, but the screen effect that comes with it is actually reasonable enough to play with. I like the gun mechanics for the most part. I enjoy the battles, the "feel" of the guns, flairs, and fireworks really tickles my immersion. I don't quite see the purpose of the red dot sight since it reduces ADS sensitivity. I think the whole point of a red dot should be to make CQB target acquisition quicker, as implemented, this is not how it functions and only serves as a handicap to the player, specifically in CQB, so far iron sights have been supreme except a scope on the hunting rifle. If you need to handicap the red dot for balance I would suggest making it larger to cover more of the screen while ADSing (see Rainbow6 red dot). Gun reload mechanics and animations could be thought out slightly better as well. I would love to see capacity+1 reloading, e.g. shotgun holds 6 rounds so after the reload I should be able to put one more round in and have 6+1. The inventory system is horrific and comes off as buggy. For instance I have 50 round of 32acp hp in the pistol, these are in my inventory but are stored in the gun. If I pick up more 32 acp hp, these form a new stack in the inventory, instead of going into the existing stack in the gun. As far as I can tell, this is how all weapons work. Also collected items don't fill stacks in the hotbar and form a new stack in the inventory. I understand inventory management is a game mechanic, but the way this is implemented makes it seem that its not coded properly, not an intended mechanic. The inventory system I've played with that would best fit this games implementation is Rust. Look to Rust to understand the stacking mechanics and management of multiple ammo types. I would love to see a Tarkov style system, as I feel like the devs were going for a more in depth inventory management system, but pulled theirs out of the oven half baked. All my other issues with the game are engine related (Although I expect this for a: given what I paid and b: the nature of a small title game). The first time I got stuck, I was at the castle in the intro area underneath the wooden pathway. There is an area you can get under it, when you stand up you get stuck. Another time I got stuck was inside a shipping container. I forget where it was, but there is a shipping container that is at an angle and the objects inside of it "snag" the player. Thankfully spamming jump got me out of that one. Also a door on the ground near a shipping container where the doors had been blown off was still an interact-able object and could be open and shut. Some other odd issues I've encountered have been random audio glitches, i.e. random, uniform in period, audio snippets that play occasionally. They are loud and sound cut off, so I'm not sure if there a sound that is intending to be played or if its just a random glitch. Another issue I've found is the bag dropped items make will glitch into the ground slightly and make a constant jittering noise when not looking at the bag. This glitch is particularly annoying because the noise the bag makes almost sounds like the little spider robots. Other than that the graphics are good, optimizations seem ok, but could be better. Overall I like the game, its genuinely playable with a solid amount of content. The story is ok, definitely not as engaging as say Skyrim (but I expect this at this pricepoint and its not the reason I bought the game, I bought it for that dank robot killing). I think this game has a lot going for it if the developers keep with it, I can't comment on the co-op, as I've not tried it. This review has likely come off as negative, but the negative things are just the stuff I notice and stood out to me.
