Early Access Review
Game is super addictive. Everything about it is super cool. The procedural environments get pretty repetitive decently quick just because of how big the rooms are for the generation but never did I find it to be a problem with the game. I wish there was some more guns and more environments to play through cause right as I feel things are getting crazy it's over. (I know it's early access so it's not really a complaint) A nice temp feature would be an endless mode where you just cycle through environments randomly, start in ruins, then to haven city, then wherever and it just chooses a random place to go so you never really run out of leveling up and such. I'm sure the game is not balanced for that and most things probably have set numbers but that would make this game a million times more fun just to see how far you can really get and how crazy things can truly become.

I've been following this game for a while, around since the beginning of January when I was actually excited about a new "free" sandbox game that could (if done right) actually be fun and a change of scenery from the standard gmod.

HOWEVER..

It was bad from when I launched it. I downloaded the game and launched it and it immediately said I was running a pirated copy which made no sense because I literally just downloaded it off steam. I relaunched it probably 7 or 8 times and it didn't work, I had to verify the games cache in order to get it to work.

Short Summary:
From about 2 weeks in I found out the entire game is made from bought and free marketplace assets and also completely "scripted" from blueprints with little to no actual code. The developer released a statement saying "he was no longer interested in developing it for free" when the game started gaining a little bit of traction which is pretty scummy imo but not a real issue IF he put actual work into the game. Most of the "features'' are just marketplace blueprints stamped in, there is little to no actual functionality to them and everything is clunky. The physics are atrocious and make no sense, the game lags to hell, the mod support is rough and requires blueprinting. I mean its essentially unreal engine's first person preset with some marketplace stuff strapped on marketed as a sandbox game. Anyone with basic unreal knowledge can pump this out but better then what is found here. The post processing, bloom, and general effects look terrible and the multiplayer can barely be considered that cause after 5-10 players it lags and becomes unplayable. If you like doing screenshot work or building then this definitely isn't for you because there is no rotation lock, the noclip is barely usable and on top of that the UI is disgustingly outdated. Also the game actually received a DMCA from epic for a couple reasons that I wont get into.

Time to break down all of that-
Physics:
The physics are barely in existence, and the collisions for physics props suck. You can pick up a massive concrete tube, not be able to climb into it AND push it around like its made of plastic. Most props just bounce around when dropped and they are in general just terrible.

Weapons:
There are 3 weapons excluding the "physgun" and the "toolgun". All 3 are terribly made and once again very clearly off the marketplace. The ak is dumb, sounds terrible, the animations are horrendous, and the model looks straight out of a game from the mid 2000s. The same can be said about the glock. The last weapon is a toilet that you throw, that's it, doesn't even do damage, you just throw a toilet model...

Physgun:
The physgun (if you can even call it that) barely works. You can pick up props, you can rotate them which somehow is more janky then in gmod, and there is no rotation snap.

Toolgun:
The tool gun can only be used on props, you can't just place something on terrain, other then that I was so fed up with the game I didn't get too far into the tools so this may be a good feature but I doubt it.

NPC's:
The NPC's are generic models that have basic animations, probably just some free animation set off the marketplace but that's to be expected from the quality of the rest of the game.

Multiplayer:
The multiplayer is terrible, literally probably the most important thing for the game and it sucked. Everything was lagging at only 5 players. Good luck spawning something or shooting something because it definitely won't happen. Good luck trying to launch Darkrp, Milrp, or SWRP on this game cause it WON'T work. I joined 3-4 servers not including a friends server and all of them ran absolutely horribly.

UI:
The UI looks kind of like a generic unreal UI, feels outdated and has no character to it, its just a box with outlines. That's it.

Gamemodes/Mod Support:
If you wanna make a mod or gamemode for the game you have to download unreal engine, learn unreal's blueprinting and hope to god it works. From what I understand there isn't too much documentation on what you can and can't do, it's an incredibly unorganized mess. Also the game only launches with Sandbox so if you wanna do anything else you better download the epic launcher and unreal engine and get to learning blueprinting.

Vehicles:
There are two vehicles, the buggy and the quad bike, both feel like crap to operate and both are clearly assets off the marketplace. The vehicles desync constantly in multiplayer, and players often disappear out of the vehicles.

The game sucks, its not an early access game so he can't hide behind that and it's overall an overhyped mess that calls itself a game. The “developer” shouldn't have launched this as a game that people PAY for or at all because its a buggy incomplete dumpster fire of a “game”.

Update: Apparently the main game dev was banned on a popular script store called gmodstore where he attempted to resell scripts that were leaked. Proof: https://www.gmodstore.com/users/76561198194570219
