After playing this game for a bit, and being quite a big anime and Shounen fan overall, I can say, that this game is fun for a few rounds with friends, casual stuff, and things like that, but should you be looking for a competitive game, look elsewhere. This game has massive balancing issues, and it does not matter at all, if you practice with your favorite anime characters, because if the enemy is running some sort of cheese combo, you're always going to lose, no matter what, simply because there are so many exploitable things in this game, like Ryo Saeba's assist, that can be used to guard break people, even though guards should not be broken, while blocking an assist. Zoro's 90% HP true combo. (True meaning there is no time to evade it unless you use high-speed counter or the dodge.)

The story is repetitive and bland, the animations are quite flashy and cool to look at, but that gets stale after a while as well of course.

Final Opinion: If you're interested in this game, only to play with friends, and you love Shounen. Sure, go for it, but you will get frustrated, while playing against people like Zoro, or Killua. If you want a balanced and highly competitve fighting game, that does not take 10 minutes to find you a match, look at Dragon Ball FighterZ or similar.
