Stay far away. While the art, gunplay, and music is great for this game, the new player experience is extremely poor. It's not a "free to play" game, it's "free to try", as 90% of the content is locked behind owning previous DLC, which gets costly fast. You're going to be omega-level behind on everything and will have to grind out subclass fragments, exotics, and materials until your eyes bleed out. Especially with the way Bungie is currently handling this game, it's just going to aim for your wallet rather than your enjoyment. Stay. away.
