Game is incredibly "meh"

limited guns, characters. Looter shooter tags should have some sort of "Number of weapons actually in the game" note.

The fact the characters are giga locked behind grinding and paywall is just... tedious.

Definitely won't be playing again...

Honestly this type of genre of building a dungeon mix with the RTS elements of the overworld are the perfect combination for some fun.

The Creature group is still fun and even better than the 3rd installment. Comes with a new create in the form of a little furby looking thing. Love the synergy of this group so much

The demon group has had a little bit of a change up but ultimately is the same feeling as the 3rd game. They added these infernals to the group that are actually quite fun. I also love this groups synergy around fire and reducing fire resistance. Can be some fun AoE non-sense.

The undead group feels pretty much the same as the third but has a change up with their re-worked temple to let the undead spawn like mini versions of themselves and causes a lot of fun havoc on the screen.

Also I dont know why it took my the entirety of the third game and basically 80% of this one to discover how awesome traps are? Setting up slime traps to slow the heroes and then using saws to continuously go at them made my time building my army a lot easier.

Overall this game is wonderful and would very much recommend.

I REALLY enjoyed this game all the way through.

The story was actually enjoyable and the monster styles were also very fun to play around with

The end game fights with the legend keepers were a little rough but found guides online

8/10 game - would suggest as a good filler game

I loved this game - it was so much fun to play as a first time Armored Core player. I will admit some of the folks who dislike it due to the "dark souls" like bosses may be correct in some retrospect but after the first playthrough the ones you struggled with become childs play. The hardest boss is arguably the fourth chapters final boss since it rarely stays on the screen.

In terms of gameplay this is definitely one of my favorite mech games now. I hope this will bring about more armored core games in the future maybe with more weaponry variations too.

Another done side for me is just how the weapons are.. not even? Like dual wielding the zimmerman shotguns seems a bit bonkers as well as dual wielding either grenade launchers or the stingers as shoulder weapons. I hope they eventually fix that in future games where the weapons dont seem so easily shelved after you unlock a certain one.

All in all though, a good 8/10 from me and a hope of future Armored Core games.

This game is self aware in a good way. Can't wait for Dungeons 4.

Honestly - with all of the patches they have done to this game I have to say this is one of my most favorite recent shooters.

Every gun feels like it can do something rather than just choosing one - there are some that do feel stronger but ultimately tl;dr click heads.

vehicles are very fun to use as well and the controls are very keyboard/mouse friendly (especially helicopters)

If you're on the fence about this game - wait for a sale it usually hits for $15 and thats an amazing price for an actually decent game now.

Very much enjoyed the story and even the traveling aspect of it as well.

Seeing most of the norse myth realms was also a lot of fun - visually impressive even if my pc is melting.

Combat is ok, I do agree with the common sentiment that the valkyrie fights are.. a bit much

One thing i love the most is the dialogue - it feels like there's almost always a conversation happening between the characters that actually makes sense to the story or even the side quests.

Brief overview; about 33~ hours to 100% the achievements and enjoy the story. Not bad may be worth at current price but it is best to use your own judgement.

If you are looking for a Monster Hunter style game I would not look here. This games suffers from a lot of camera and all around monster mechanic issues. If you're looking for a game with anime tropes and at least a fun story. I would wait for a sale.

The camera is super slow or super fast, no in between. And if you get stuck between a monster and a wall good luck as the monster is invisible so you cannot see what it is doing...

The monster mechanics are... interesting.. some have no counter and there is very little to no read before they do anything. Also they have a lot of moves that utilize a 360 AoE attack and requires you to just get away... At least MonHun has it so the mosnters attacks are telegraphed a little more obvious so its easier to tell when to dodge what.

Also there is no "dodge" or invincibility frames like Monster Hunter. You're either in the way or out, but as I stated before a lot of monster utilize a cone or 360 attack pattern so its harder to evade. They give you a shield but I found it easier to maintain uptime on burst and just double jump out of the way most of the time.

all in all I did have a good time but there are a lot of things in this game that did make it frustrating. One is that the smaller monsters are actually harder to fight than the larger monsters. There's like one particular ashborn i had issues with but the rest were cake..

Overview; 60hrs to 100% the achieves, probably could have been less if I didnt switch weapons frequently in the beginning. Story is a usual anime 8/10 for me as i am a sucker for these types of tropes. Gameplay past story is aggravating but still doable.

So as much as i love this game I gotta admit - it has A LOT of flaws

One major one is there are two or three bosses in the game that'll just randomly turn invisible when they vanish to do a move. Like straight up bug invisible not the "oh it's just it's power" kinda invisible.

Second is the elevators - These things in the later part of the game only work if you alt tab multiple times. This makes it seems like this wasn't set up appropriately for PC port..

Third is just how the enemies track... Your PC (Player Character) will have issues with their moves whilst the enemies will glady rotate to just 360 no scope smack that ass.

Honestly though I do love the game and its story that seems to be a precursor to the God Eater series. I just don't think i can recommend it unless you really want to go through all of the issues above.

Also the 400 mark of honor grind achievement is stupid and lame now that the game is not played by everyone..

Honestly, I liked it. Most of the end game bosses are pure frustration for someone trying to just do a simple dual greatsword build but thankfully people online are better than me.

Having achieved all of the achievements I can safely say ♥♥♥♥ maliketh.
