Quite a good game actually! It's especially good with friends, but even playing with random players online is fun! There's quite a lot of variety in gameplay and a good collection of different playstyles!

It's not my *favourite* game of all time, but it's certainly a good experience!

Also helps that PSN linking is not mandatory. Thanks for supporting PC independence!

Geometry Dash is an incredible experience.
I've played it for many many years, starting on my horrible Samsung Galaxy phone in 2014/'15, all the way up until now.

It is an addicting rhythm-platformer that will keep you coming back even as you fail stages again and again, getting better and better, learning from your mistakes and at some points being in complete awe of the incredible stage designs of both the latest few official levels, as well as the enormous amounts of well-made community levels.

This game is incredible. Playing it on phone is good, but on PC with a controller is simply a different and better experience.
I can't believe that I found great enjoyment with this game at around 30fps, but I well and truly did when I was younger.
Now I play at 144 FPS, and the game feels incredibly smooth with it of course.

Now, that's not to say that there aren't criticisms.

While I did just say that the game feels smooth, that's with the caveat of there sometimes being just a tiny freeze or a bit of lag for no real reason. It can mess up your timings, and you'll hear yourself sounding like a fool as you audibly say "Oh come on, it lagged, we all saw it!", even though you would have probably crashed even without the lag.
For real though, there are some slight technical issues that can sometimes make you crash, at no fault of your own, which can feel very very frustrating. But really? That's about it.

The quality of the official levels, at least the latest ones, is very very high and they're super fun.
In comparison, some of the older levels don't hold up as well to today's standards. Especially, Can't Let Go feels quite poorly timed, with the beat drop not being synced up well to the actions or movements of the player. That's not to say, however, that the older levels are all terrible. Dry out and Base After Base are among some of my favourite levels.

My advice would be to play the levels in exactly the order they appear in-game if you're a new player. Start with Stereo Madness and move your way up. Once you start understanding being gravity flipping, and how that works in all the different forms/vehicles, you will truly start feeling like a god. While Can't Let Go might not be as cool of a level today as it maybe used to be, it does have a particularly tough section for this part of the game, all performed in reversed gravity, and once you master this, you will feel like a god. Only to then promptly get yourself completely demolished in the following levels.

Once you finish the main game, and even in-between official levels, head to the player created section and play some of the easier featured levels. They will all look entirely different from the main game, but will feature some really cool sections, some beautiful art, and really showcase what the level editor is capable of.

If you're brave enough, you can try to create levels yourself, although I have almost no experience in this particular part of the game.

All this is great, but if you begin playing now, you could potentially begin to master the game and beat some Demon levels (hardest difficult) before the next update comes out. 2.2 will add a ton of new things to the game, and you can check out some of the crazy new features on RobTop Games' youtube channel and twitter.

The game is cheap, and has some levels you can play for free on your phone. If you'd just like to check it out quickly, there's no better price than free.

I recommend this game wholeheartedly.

A very poor excuse for a Battlefield game. The foundation just is not there.
Almost everything that is uniquely Battlefield has been replaced with generic game industry trends or outright butchered.

The main problems here are:
1) Maps. First of all, there aren't many of them, and secondly, they don't fit the theme of the game at all.

2) Classes. Ever since the birth of Battlefield with Battlefield 1942, classes have been a stable of the franchise. It makes a team feel like, well, a team. Now, they have been replaced with generic and... awkward "specialists" in an attempt to turn the game into a hero shooter. This is undoubtedly done to sell skins.
On top of this, the balance of the classes are completely destroyed. In the past, it was typically the Engineer who could deal with vehicular threats, but were often less effective in long range combat. Assaults would be the close-to-mid range main fighters of the team. What limited these ranges? Their limited selection of weaponry. Engineers used SMGs, Assaults used Assault RIfles. In 2042, any specialist can use any primary weapon, regardless of their abilities, effectively removing all balance between them. Now, the only thing differentiating the specialists is the special abilities that they have.

3) Soundtrack. Perhaps not immediately obvious, but it becomes apparent fairly quickly. Battlefield 1 and V really set the standard for how soundtracks in Battlefield games should be handled. Epic songs at the beginning and end of matches in those games make the atmosphere incredible. In 2042? Most of the soundtrack sounds... broken? There's none of the semi-futuristic sounds from BF4, nor the epic pieces of 1 and V. Apparently, according to a Reddit comment (not the greatest source, I admit), the composer has said that they recorded sounds of scraping metal from shipyards for the soundtrack, which immediately should be a red flag. I guess you could say that it is unique? Certainly an acquired taste for many.

All in all, I cannot recommend this. Instead, I would encourage anyone even remotely interested in either the marketing of this game or the actual game itself to NOT spend the €59.99 (€39.59 as of writing due to a sale) for this game lacking in content and polish, and instead pay a fraction to experience the incredible games of Battlefield 4 and 1. Battlefield V is also quite good in comparison to 2042, but is itself a bit of a departure from 4 and 1.

An absolutely incredible game. After playing just 9 hours, it has me hooked. Solving cases is incredibly fun. Best moments are definitely the court sections.

You can put gun barrels up a cat's butt, and use it as a silencer.

When I picked up this game, I would expect what people usually say.
And yes.. It's true.. The Empire Soldier IS basically just a taller Dwarf.
