It's worth getting, but I would recommend a sale. I like playing it because it has wheel of enormous proportions, which is like trivia murder party but more pop culture in my opinion. Job job is also fun even if it devolves into vulgarity. The others I haven't really touched but they're fun as well when you understand them. All in all 7/10

Early Access Review
Edit: It's pretty much the same aside from having a free halloween adventure, and the felicia day adventure you have to pay for. Read old review below for more info.

Putting this a negative review until content gets cheaper or more content is put out. I'll check back in a month or two.

I played the tutorials, and the arena run. This game is a DND lite that wants too much. I get that they need to make money to get it to keep going and manage servers. That said, it doesn't have enough content to justify 20$ a module/adventure. If it was in a bundle of like pay 30$ to get three I'd be ok with it.

It's free so try it out and see if it's for you.
Honestly, it's a good start, but I just wish there was more.

I was gifted this game. It's fun and I like it. That said the psn linking should be optional and not mandatory. I have no faith in Sony's security as far as I'm concerned. Especially considering the Ransomeware event last year.

Until Sony reverses this decision, that's it from me I'm not playing anymore. Yes, I was willing to spend money Sony, but now you won't see a cent.

Edit: Sony has reversed their decision my review will now be put to positive. But I have no faith in Sony going forward. If you can, get helldivers 2, but possibly on sale. This review will change to negative again if they backpedal or do anything similar of this caliber.

I would recommend this for the combat except the combat sucks. It wants you to use a parry mechanic you don't unlock until you complete the third mission and then have to equip to use. The dodge isn't great either as you can get stuck on enemies and won't be able to dodge away. I wasn't playing the dude, but the other character. You kinda have to do 1,2, dodge, 1, 2 for the combat. She does have ranged attacks but they use up your stamina which is used for dodging which you only get from basic attacks and destroying objects in level.

Aside from combat you make weapons when you're high enough level and can upgrade them to 120+ with chance of failure. There is a battlepass with a free and premium track.
All in All, it's a mobile title on pc with grind mechanics.

It's ok as a remake except the dodge mechanic is ass.
They should've kept up with the multiplayer that launched with this game as well but they didn't.

Hopefully Enigma won't be in this but it's Capcom.

The game is good, but I'd get it on sale.
Mods make it even better.
Once you played the story though nothing really changes.

This review will remain downvoted now thanks to Capcom.
They would like to add DRM to older titles but not provide more content when it's not in their narrative. Also, they should've kept the old Ada wong VA instead of Lily Gao's phoned in voiceover.

I've been playing it since launch or a season after off and on. It's still fun but it's definitely better with friends.
I'll come back to it every now and then. The item changes will definitely make the game feel a bit different if it's been a hot minute since you've played if you've played before.

Play it if you haven't tried it, play it if it's been a hot minute since last time.

First I want to note I didn't want to write this review till I beat the game.

There are several questions I will answer in this review according to my opinion of the game.
Is it worth full price?
Can you play with friends?
Is the story good?
What's the gameplay like?

Now to answer these questions.

Is this game worth full price?
Yes and No.
If you played the first one and the dlc for it. If you enjoyed the story for it and want to come back to the world of remnant then yes. If this is your first remnant game, then wait for a sale unless you're going to play it with friends.

Can you play with friends?
Yes, but....
Yes, you can play with friends the game actually encourages it. I haven't tested to see if there is crossplay so I can't say anything on that.

Is the story good?
It's decent, but some of it relies on having played the first one. It's very straight forward, but there are lore bits littered around in the form of books, tablets, and NPCs. One of Yaesha's NPCs in one of the dungeons gives a really big lore drop.

What's the gameplay like?
Well....it's practically the same as the first one. This one more heavily relies on builds and your class skills and mods. Essentially Souls-like with guns but more of a third person shooter. I enjoy it, but man dodging can be hard cause a lot of enemies/bosses have delayed attacks. i.e. you see the enemy wind up so you dodge but it delays the attack by like half a second to a second so when you've gone through your I frames you get hit. It can take a little bit to get used to but it's easy peesy lemon squeezy. The game does want you to roll through adventure so you can farm, or experiences areas you didn't when you ran story. Once you finish the story you can reroll your campaign again on a harder difficulty if you want to.

This game has countless secrets and a lot of things to find. If you like shooting, melee, puzzles. semi difficult boss fights, decent story, and a game to play with your friends. This is it.

P.S. There are a lot of guides for people who get lost. Also I'm running the game on a 1080 TI.

P.S.S. You can pet the dog.

This game sucks, it's a sci-fi dmc knockoff that tries to be multiple things at once.
Forced cameras that are worse than resident evil, platforming worse than ratchet and clank, bullet hell worse than Contra, and hack and slash worse than DMC or the warriors games.
If I have to go through this game multiple times just to "get the actual ending" while playing mediocre gameplay at best then there is an issue. The level system shouldn't even be in here, give the enemies a health bar instead. The chip system is unique but hot garbage.
nier: automata wants you to explore and fish and upgrade your gear and ♥♥♥♥, but still feels like you're hitting enemies with a feather. i.e. I was level 20 with good chips equipped and it took me at least 10 sword swings and my pod gatling to kill a LEVEL 2 ENEMY.
Then it has the audacity to say hey, you beat the game, we actually have more endings. Play our lame game again.

TL:DR the only good thing to come from this game is the soundtrack.

This game has a decent gameplay loop, but it needs to change to a new engine or just be entirely overhauled. Not to mention all the PvE spawns are just f**ked. I've had several matches where at least 4 hives have spawned together or an immolator spawned next to a hive. The bounties don't really matter as people would rather just farm kills. The higher the mmr the more sweaty it gets. Folks will literally camp to try and get kills or the bounty or camp the bounty to farm kills. They have trials which is a pve element you do solo which are basically time trials but they don't exactly teach you anything. The rewards from them are okay but a practically anything you get out of them is either lost easily or just not worth the effort. I also want to point out that the game didn't reach peak until they introduced the serpent moon event 2022. It introduced their battlepass which you can get free stuff, but it costed about 1k bloodbonds to buy. Which just isn't worth it on top of buying hunt. Even fortnite, apex legends, Naraka bladepoint, Realm Royale, and Eternal Return have better rewards in their battle passes. The dlc is cosmetic, but the hunters from the dlc come with three randoms perks always, but they never come with a loadout. You have to kit them out, otherwise you use the free hunters or the quickplay survivors you won with.

TL:DR The game needs an overhaul and more actual content instead of a drip feed behind a long grind.
