This game used to be fantastic, but years of dumbing down every aspect of the game, and neglecting certain types of players has made it one of the most homogenized, dull, expressionless MMO's I've ever played.
I desperately wish for a return to the Heavensward/Stormblood era, where every type of player was catered to, and midcore players weren't forgotten and left in the dust. I want this game to be good again. It's a travesty it's in such a poor place as of now.

Story took a massive dive though, hopefully they course correct because the writing, and the vocal direction of multiple scions is off. Yshtola sounds like she's talking in a cathedral. Thancred sounds like he's out of breath. One of the most pivotal scenes with Wuk Lamat sounds like she is yelling in lowercase. I have heard all of these va's give much more heartfelt, energetic performances so whoever was directing the takes is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up hard.

This game is unrepentant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Everything is repeatedly instanced. Friends pop in and out of existence just by following some of the main quests. And thats if you can get the game to let you change channels to actually meet up with said friends, since for some reason, that feature likes to bug out. The combos are janky, you have seconds of downtime inbetween starting a new combo and it feels the exact opposite of fluid.
As expected of a company that is recycling assets for a fourth time around of milking the same ♥♥♥♥ from people too dumb to learn that they are being played.
Also charging a dollar and eighty cents to turn off pvp for an hour is arguably one of the most laughable things I have ever seen in an MMO. If you can even call this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that.

This is straight up garbage. Arguably one of the worst shooters I have ever had the misfortune to play, and an effective knife in the gut to someone who was waiting for this for four ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years.
The art design is all over the place as its made up of asset flips.
The lighting system is obnoxious and painful on the eyes.
The map design is atrocious with dead end hallways that lead nowhere and fundamental flaws in how map flow should work.
A game should not leave the player feeling depressed and/or apathetic after playing it. You have pissed on the grave of Battlefront 3 and if this is what you came up with in 4 years you definitely shouldn't be getting any money towards the project.

I've been waiting for this game since 2013.
I've waited six years for the traditional rpg with in depth skill trees, infinite level up progression, and infinite worlds via map seeds that was originally promised on the picroma website.
This game does absolutely none of that. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was to learn the only progression that ever permanently stays with you in this iteration of cube world is menial stats that do not actually do anything to make you stronger. The Cube World Alpha had at least an interesting game loop. This release destroyed what fun that game loop was and made a borderline stupid choice to depower the player for daring to explore in an exploration based RPG. Nothing you do in this game matters beyond the initial region which you can steamroll anyway if you get a single lucky drop. I cannot and will not recommend this game until its core gameplay changes heavily because in it's current state it has absolutely no replay value beyond the initial 2-3 hours of your first region, and even then it does not feel too great to play.

Core gameplay simple but neat. Very harvest moon/animal crossing.
Performance is utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, decided to randomly use 10 gigs of my ram and nearly nuke my computer. Had to do a full restart to actually fix it.
I do not recommend this title until they fix performance.

I bought two copies of this game, one for myself, and one for a friend. I bought this game with the pure intention of playing with my friends. That feature doesn't work. At all. It worked for a few matches, and then some random person joined our lobby because we forgot to set it to private, and its been broken ever since. Whoever hosts, gets stuck in a black screen permanently until the other person alt+f4's. This has been a known issue since launch, and the dev team would rather shill Thick Robot Girl Ass DLC instead of fixing their matchmaking. Fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game bamco. I'll never buy another product from you until you do.

This game has some pretty damn good value. once you own it, it can play any audio track. I'm not joking, i put in a season 2 disc of batman beyond and played an episode.. One thing of note though, if you are gonna sync from itunes, you need quick time player for it to play itunes music. other than that, this game is great. literally unlimited replay value and tons of different modes to play.

Good game. Buy when it's on sale for massive entertainment value.

Devs continue to add new things to the game, 5+ years after it's release. The sheer amount of entertainment you get from this game in relation to cost is staggering.

With the addition of Thorium and the now actually functional mod launcher the game has even more value for its meager cost.
