I first started playing Cards and Tankards around a year ago and its something I gladly keep coming back to. I attribute this to two reasons. 1) How easy it is to play at your own ease and comfort level. 2) For the vibe.. From the moment I entered the game, I was greeted by such a warm and inviting community that made me feel totally welcomed and at ease. They didn't care if I was mute or new to the game, and compared to most online games there was an above average amount of players online at all times!

While the tutorial of the game was direct and easy to understand there's still enough playstyle variety to keep things interesting as you figure out how to combat the more popular card chains. My two biggest gripes about the game were its lack of customization (at the time), and a lack of cross platform saves after selecting "play with steam account" BUT both of these things have been fixed for months now!!! I've decked out my avatar to look unique af. The devs are still working out the best cosmetic system but they ACTUALLY communicate with the discord community every step of the way so its amazing seeing how consistent they are with taking in feedback. In regard to cross-platform accessibility, I'm happy that I didn't have to lose all my progress after my pc ♥♥♥♥ the bed. I got to pick up right where I left off on the oculus standalone. So yes, 5/5 stars, the game is free to play but I already invest $20 in game because I like it so much, and that's something I rarely do.
