Game suffers majorly from the battle royale loot concept, I think it would have felt better with a hero shooter with diff guns for each hero, or at least just MORE options. You have one AR, it's an AK47, there's 2 burst SMGs, and the usual pump + full auto shotgun. There's the sniper as well per usual. The characters are sorta cool, but honestly just lacking in individuality that you'd get from OW or Apex or Marvel Rivals. The gameplay is sorta fun.. the loop is just repetitive due to you only getting a fight once per 2-3 minutes when you go for the obj, otherwise you're just running around aimlessly while farming for the currency. A 5v5 would have been more chaotic, and I almost think that would help, but a lot of the systems just don't feel rewarding to interact with. The walls are easily breakable and mean nothing to your defense due to there being so many soft walls that lead into other soft walls, maybe that changes as people get better at the game.. but it just feels so big that it seems difficult to truly cover all the spots.

And, let's be honest, regardless of if this game ends up good or not, Geoff really messed with their chances. Offering a barely unique feeling game the final TGA spot, after many other games that looked much more unique and interesting, soured the interest of this game for many people.

Overall.. 6.5/10. Decent concept, just doesn't feel unique or engaging enough. Gunplay is pretty ok, characters are cool (tho honestly not that unique), and just overall lacking environmental factors that shake up the game.

I'll be honest, I went in fully expecting a good game. I had heard plenty of reviews saying the game was good. But by god was it better than I had thought it was going to be. The choices that you tell yourself will be easy, turn out to be so much harder than you thought. I sat for a good hour or so debating between certain choices. I am a very indecisive person so it was a bit extra, but every choice I made felt like it had an actual impact. Sure, the controls were a bit clunky at time, and it's definitely better with a controller, but don't let those small minor issues distract you from the fact that the story was amazing.

The games a solid 8/10 or maybe even a 9/10. There were some things that I wish I had a bit more control over, and sometimes the dialogue choices were a bit misleading and confusing, but it's worth the play through for sure.
