Rain World is a game I would never recommend to anyone. To try and describe the feelings I have about this game is an essay within itself. Rain World is one of the most impactful, beautiful, frustrating, and down-right cruel games I have ever played in my life.

This game has fundamentally changed the way I view the world, and not in a generic “Ahaha! I learned about Buddhism!” kind of way. It defies all nature, there is no world where Rain World is not frustrating, there will always be pain attached to this game.

However despite that you always come back to Rain World, because it is unlike any other game. No Game displays such skill in enemy AI, movement, combat, art and more. It gives me this feeling of Super Smash Bros Melee, a game that beyond all reason should not be successful. A game that almost feels broken, unfinished, or fundamentally flawed, yet a game that surpasses and will continue to surpass all others like it.

For most, flaws are not what they look for, they want perfection, but for people like you and I, Rain World’s flaws are what makes Rain World… Rain World.

I love this game.
