So, You liked Chivalry but hated the expoiters? Take those out. That's Mordhau. Pretty good right?
Now, take everything bad about For Honor and put that in. Seems kinda bad right?
Now, put the exploiters back in, but replace the exploits with god awful hitboxes and terrible weapon balance. Pretty awful right? That's Mordhau.
Probably the worst game I've ever bought. I had more fun with Anthem on release.
Playing Hong Kong '97 would be a better use of your time.
I'd rather play Fortnite.
I've had a better time playing Battlefield V at 13 fps.
Unless you're naturally talented and were genuinely great at Chivalry, you'll have a terrible time, guaranteed.
Pass this game up, I beg of you. The devs need to fix this game before its worth anything.

Edit: This is seriously, unironically the worst game I've ever played in my entire life. Just straight up unplayable at this point. I've never played a game with such terrible balance, such a low skill floor, so just agonizingly horrible, it makes my chest hurt. They say this game has a ""high"" skill ceiling, but that really doesn't matter when the skill floor reaches up to the roof of the skill house. This game is literally a carbon copy of Chivalry, down to the ballerinas. You just think they aren't there because they aren't spinning, but they just swing their mouse so the hitbox janks out. I've never hated a game more in my life. I genuinely hope this game crashes and burns harder than LawBreakers. Remove this game from your memeory. It's better that way.

It's a good game if you have a time machine and go back to early 2017 before they runied it with asinine characters and what i hessitate to call "balance".

Don't buy this game unless you plan on only playing Vanguard, Wraith, or Shadow. The matchmaking system is terrible, constantly putting me in matches that are half-way finished, and 40% of those matches being FFA (which is just awful in this game). The game also seems to have issues processing bullets, because half the time i get shot the framerate drops by 40 fps. Can't forget how you slow down to an absolute crawl after taking 2 bullets to the pinky toe, making getting to a health pack impossible if more than 1 person happen to be looking in your general direction. Class balance is also sub-par at its absolute best, getting practically sniped across the map by Vanguards using the Stalker rifle, getting spammed to death by a Grenadier that got too close for comfort, or (my personal favorite) getting one bodied by the same Wraith over and over again because you decided not to play a class with more that 200 HP.

TL;DR: game sugg benis no buy pls

This game is one of, if not THE MOST frustrating game I've ever played. I was brought to my absolute boiling point numerous times during my playthough, especially while trying to beat the last boss (for the second time, becuase the game crashed during the credits).

HOWEVER, Hyper Light Drifter is smooth, fun, fair, and incredibly pleasing to look at. Though I had more of an interest in simply beating the game, there is a suprising ammount of content. There's a lot of secrets to be found, guns to shoot, and quite a few outfits to boost your drifter in some way. Alternate paths to find gear bits, keys to open doors, and even a horde mode of sorts.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this wonderful game. Plenty to do, plenty to get mad at, and plenty to have fun with. Do yourself a favor and get this game. Hyper Light Drifter is as much of an experience as it is a kick-ass game.

The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is just like the Counter Strike you all know and love. Worth all the money along with every penny.
