Great opportunity to get a feel for the game and test system performance before making a purchase.

I had a couple of crashes in 12 hours, but it's been stable otherwise.

I enjoy what has been provided for weapon modification, although visiting the Gunsmith screen requires you to go four levels deep, and any time your party changes screens while looking for a match, it pulls you out to the main screen, requiring you to rely on muscle memory to get back quickly enough to make modifications before the match starts. The Gunsmith should have a shortcut button, or even better, allow the player to favorite menus like similar to the options menus.

As far as gameplay goes, I'm just a filthy casual so it felt like Call of Duty to me - fast-paced running and gunning on shoe box maps.

It's a beta, so changes are bound to be made. Whether they're good or bad is another story. For now, I'd recommend trying it since it's free.

The creators of Descent have brought Decent into modern times. The controls are pretty intuitive even for those new to the 6DOF genre who are familiar with FPS. Combat is gritty and intense, and the weapons feel satisfying to use. Multiplayer matchmaking includes a ranking system but tends to be light on players so I would recommend joining the official Overload Discord server to coordinate with other pilots.

I nominated Postal 2 for The Culturally Insensitive" Award. There's so much blatently offensive content and the game itself is so bizzare. Very amusing!

I grew up playing Call of Duty (2003) , United Offensive (2004), and Call of Duty 2 (2005). I recently bought the original Medal of Honor (1999), Allied Assault (2002), and this game (2007) to see what I was missing out on, and to compare them to Call of Duty's franchise, game-to-game based on release year. Medal of Honor has no comparison due to it's release year so I'll leave it be, but Allied Assault is ♥♥♥♥ compared to Call of Duty and United Offensive. However, I think Airborne beats Call of Duty 2 as far as the gameplay, controls, and story go. The medal awards like a strip clip for a Mauser are interesting and give the player something to strive for. The leaning is like Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014). While you're aiming down the sights (ADS), you can use WASD to lean left, right, up, and down. Hold Shift and you're able to walk around while ADS. The controls feel intuitive and the graphics hold up against Call of Duty 2.

If you like artsy games with lots of funny dialogue and pretty environments to hike through, this game is for you. I enjoyed the candid approach that the voice acting took.

If you're a fan of The Neverhood, this game will not dissappoint you. Similar humor and puzzle styles are present and you'll notice some things that were definitely from Neverhood. A great nostalgia trip for the next generation of technology.

The storyline is absolutely amazing! A great hack-and-slash! It's a God of War-meets-Zelda game in my opinion.

This ended up being a *lot* more fun than I originally imagined. Sure, it's a Minecraft rip-off, but there's so much more! The side-scrolling is very refreshing since I've been in first and third person for every game. I didn't realize that you could build and explore so much! A very original twist on an original game.
