Unfortunately for this game, every game that people compare it to still exists. Save your $6 and go play one of the games this is praised for taking inspiration from.

If you like Hades and you like base building, you'll probably like this game. The trailer should tell you everything you need to know, other than that the game takes about 20 hours to reasonably 100%. Some people dislike the length, but if the game were much longer, the systems in place would overstay their welcome. The music and vibes are this game's greatest strengths. I think it's worth full price.

Return of the Obra Dinn is a mesmerizing whodunnit mystery game. The visual design, sound design, and puzzle design are all near-perfect. Absolutely must play with a friend or two.

I would pay a ludicrous amount of money for this game to be entirely re-skinned into a piece of media that I could comfortably share with a wider variety of people.

Nothing in this game overstays its welcome.

If you like metroidvanias already, then this will be a refreshingly simple adventure.

If you don't know whether you like metroidvanias or not, this is a fantastic one to try first.

I really enjoyed Elden Ring. There is a real gem hidden between some of the most abysmal design choices that I've ever seen in a video game. If you're someone I would even consider recommending this game to, you've already played it.

This game would be perfect if the wiki was built into the game.

Fun couple of hours.

This game has been my greatest disappointment of 2022. I was incredibly excited for this game. The gameplay is fine, and I enjoy the time trials for each level. Anyhow, none of that matters, because the soundtrack makes me feel sick. It's a ~1 minute loop that is incredibly high energy, and it's great in the trailer. However, it is the only song you will be hearing for all of world 1, and it genuinely ruins the entire game. World 2 has a different song, with the same problem. It's such a strange and horrible corner to cut during development, and I can't believe how quickly it made this game completely unplayable for me.

tl;dr the soundtrack is nauseating and the gameplay isn't worth it, go play Celeste and Webbed.
