Loved playing the OG Shadowverse.
Worlds Beyond is actually a good game if you only look at visuals and gameplay. Even better than the first game.

But as many others mentioned already, the ingame economy is atrocious.
Everything costs 5x but rewards are MAYBE 1-2x in comparison.

You need to own cards 3 times to actually start melting them down for vials to craft other cards. Which is just horrible.
In the first game you could melt down all cards you didn't want and build competitive decks for 1-3 of your favorite classes.... not really possible anymore.

Was massively excited for this game since I have hundreds of hours in the OG Shadowverse...
Wouldn't have minded to get the 45 Euro pack to support the game and get a bit of a headstart. But nope, not like this.

So far the game is excellent. Got me hooked from the beginning. 11/10.
Stunning Visuals, Beautiful OST, good story. They teach you combat mechanics at a nice pace, decently fast but not overwhelming. And well... EVE.

Also the game runs great. Really refreshing to see a good PC port with great performance.

So far I would consider this game a very flawed masterpiece. Overall amazing game but many little things that are in my opinion quite annoying or unnecessary. If you don't care about them like I do it's a 10/10 game for you.

Love the visuals. Love the combat. Good story. Good Music. All things echo'd countless times.

Things that I don't quite like:
- No map inside the zones / NPC Markers on map
- Cannot buy multiple items at once and you have to hold down the button for a second to purchase each item one by one
- No "restart battle" button. It's annoying if you have to run 30 seconds and view 2 cutscenes again just to fight the same boss. Especially since the game is built around learning patterns of bosses.
- Skill Attribute reset items, just unnecessary in my opinion, adds nothing of value in a single player game.
- The "Relationship" system feels completely off to me. It seems like just a way to acquire each character's special skills. Don't want to spoiler anything but after a certain event it just feels weird how the characters interact with each other... Kinda like you build a friendship with your neighbour... after a few days you burn down their house in front of their eyes but nobody cares... few moments later, you make out in the back of their car and voila relationship +1. Should've just not implemented that system in the first place imo.
- A dialogue history would be nice while chatting with characters
- Game runs not that great. I have a rtx 5080 and cannot reach the 100 fps mark in 1440p. While the game looks good. There is not a lot going on to justify the low performance.

Game seems decently modable though, so those things might get added one way or another down the line.
Overall good game with a very welcome price tag in today's gaming scene.

Haven't played it yet but the DLC being free combined with the track record of the devs deserves all the praise.
Can't believe I say this but it would be nice to have a supporter pack for a few bucks to support the devs, they've earned it

Fantastic Persona like gameplay.
Amazing OST.
Bit of a darker setting compared to the persona games, which is a welcome breath of fresh air for me.

Only real negative point about the game is that the textures have extremely low resolution (Playstation 2ish). I don't know why a game released in 2024 is like that. There was a upscaled texture mod, which looked really good. Sadly got taken down.
I'm talking just about the resolution of the textures, the artstyle in general is really good.

Edit: I'm yet again crashing in coop. Sucks a lot if you play on higher difficulty with limited reloads... I really want to play the game but it's sadly not working as of now (coop) Will check back after future patches and update the review as fit.

After the last patch (01.April.2025) pretty stable and enjoyable in coop.
Can recommend it in it's current state

fantastic game

Hands down the best game in the genre. Most fun that I've had with friends in a long time.
The Automation... The management and the overall concept of the game is amazing.
Also looks gorgeous.
The FREE DLC that dropped today (June 7th 25) just adds on the already amazing game.
Can recommend 10/10.

Game is decently fun overall if you don't take it too serious.
But the devs not addressing the constant UE 5 crashes is insane.
I don't expect an immediate fix, but AT LEAST communicate that there is an effort made to fix the issues.
