"What happens when I report a griefer?"
One, the game brings up a message saying your report has been submitted. (This means nothing, do not assume the report will ever be processed)

Two, the game puts your report into the 'griefing' category in overwatch, which probably has *much* lower priority than hacking reports.

Three, your report never gets seen because of the thousands upon thousands of false hacking reports, willy-nilly griefing reports, and the extreme scarcity of overwatch participation.

Four, you inevitably tell the griefer you reported him, assuming this will scare him, or deter him from griefing in the future. But what this really does is reward the griefer. He set out to annoy you, and now you have given him a clear indication that you are annoyed. And not only that - you're SO annoyed, you've done the equivalent of running and telling mommy!

In the end:
- The report never gets processed
- The griefer is never punished
- You leave the game with a sense of smug satisfaction, brought upon by the false belief that the griefer will get what's coming to them.

We haven't been punished by the thousands of reports against us yet.
It's been a long, long time.
We probably won't.

Sorry!.
