Remember that you don't matter to Valve or any corp, and never will. You are one in a sea of unfeeling statistics. The following is absolutely reduntant, other than to inform those who feel like they need to know why I have red text on my profile.

The Ban is from a trojan that went undetected by Windows defender.

It stole my session token (because I had two factor enabled, the password could not have been changed and a login couldn't have occured), which allowed a malicious user to literally move the digital location of my computer to the other side of the earth (China) without any reaction from Valve, and despite my rapid repsponse, it took under half an hour for my Rust account to be used maliciously, my steam points siphoned for sale online, and literally only those two things.

While I agree that I am responsible for being phished in the first place, due to their terms of service, Valve will never take responsibility for this hole in their security, despite 1000s users being affected by it before I was, or give a damn about how this accident impacts me in any way, because those are their terms.

I couldn't care less about the Rust ban, or the red notification on my profile. I don't play Rust, and I don't care what people may think of me, however the ban paints me as a malicious user, potentially forever, and removes my ability to interact with certain Steam services and certain games and/or servers that (understandably) check in with VAC status regardless of where or why I was vac banned and I won't know a limitation is there before I meet it in the door.

The account has existed in excellent standing for 17 years, one strike and you're out.

Shore up your security, use safe password generators, and don't ever trust corporations to have your back.

I cannot appeal this with either the developer or Valve.
