A very engaging PvE game that does a lot of things right. There's some rough edges, and while I do wish they'd spend a bit more of their time ironing out bugs, the game's tone is so silly that you can't get too mad at the random BS that just killed you. If you don't take things too seriously, you'll find yourself shouting about Liber-Tea in short order.

Oh, and the community managed to make Sony back off from mandatory PSN account linking, so that's pretty cool.

This isn't a game where it's every dwarf for himself, where you'll get kicked for not being at 110% efficiency. This game encourages teamwork with every system during a mission. Dwarves can go down, but can always be picked back up. You get substantially more rewards at the end of a mission for each dwarf that makes it back alive. Each class has a specific niche that helps all the other dwarves; you are at your strongest with a full, diverse team. I've had multiple missions where I've gone back to revive someone during evacuation and only made it back with seconds left to spare and let me tell you: nothing else compares to those moments. No dwarf left behind. Rock and Stone!

Originally heard about this game during the Borderlands 3 announcement event, and recognized the name from one of the games sitting in my library I'd played maybe 30 minutes of. Even before the numerous content updates, the game had a gripping gameplay loop of gaining power through items against a timer that made the enemies stronger and stronger. The levels are about 80% static (some paths/obstacles are missing or present at random) and there are additional items to unlock to have them drop in future runs, but the locations of interactibles are random and item unlocks are tied to achievements you unlock as you get better at the game.

After collecting any specific item during a run, you can check the log book in the main menu to see the exact numbers for what an item does (e.g. +15% attack speed per stack) and use information to understand which items to prioritize for which character.

Overall, a very solid rougelike game that can easily suck away hours of your life at a time. Would recommend.

This game was interesting to say the very least.

The visuals were nothing short of stunning, and while my computer wasn't quite up to snuff (15 fps in outdoors, 30 in less complicated areas), it didn't keep me from being able to enjoy the scenery. I personally compare the gameplay to that of Portal - a simple concept, but used in different ways that kept the same rules while still managing to add something new at each turn. The story was one of self-reflection, among other subtleties. It wouldn't stand out very much on its own, but it ties in with the environments to create a symphony of symbolism. There were a few things worthy of nitpicks, such as subtitles not quite matching the spoken lines and a single texture issue, but despite all the small things, I cannot deny I had an absolute blast the whole time.

Whether you simply want to enjoy the view, give your brain something new to figure out, or hear a heartwarming story about forgiveness, I'd highly recommend this game to anyone.
