A cute, charming little game similar to Animal Crossing. There's farming, crafting, fishing, mining, etc. You get villagers, do requests, etc.

pros: you can save anywhere and at anytime. I hate games where you can only save when you sleep and it pushes the game time forward. This means I can stop what I'm doing, take care of rl, and come back to any tasks I need to do.

you're not limited by stamina to only a few tasks per day.

all the villagers can fit on your island (once you open up all the places)

once you get the catalog, any item that appears in the store, you can order. no waiting endless days for the shop to rotate items.

it's very chill, over all. lots of little things to do.

cons:
there's not a terrible amount of variety in how the exterior of your home looks like.

crafting is fun, generally, but you're very limited in the shapes of things to build with. Would like more variety. It can also be a bit fiddly. Like, crafting could be great with a few improvements.

watering crops takes way too long. I assume there might eventually be an upgrade. But having only six "waters" in your watering can means watering takes forever.

you can go to an island, but there's only one island and it doesn't change. wish there was a bit more variety there.

It's not always easy to tell which stones/trees/etc you can interact with your tools.

Anyhow, overall, the game is fun, if you like this sort of game, but could be improved. Not sure if the devs are done working on it, but I think with a few enhancements, it could be great.

A fun and enjoyable installment following My Time In Portia.

Lots of interesting NPCs.
Fun mechanics.
Main quest is engaging and interesting.
Minigames are great.
Lots to love about this installment.

A super fun strategy game that can be varying degrees of difficult. Mods extend the life of the game and really help the game shine.

Customizable soldiers really help make each playthrough your own.
War of the Chosen is an excellent dlc/expansion that breathes new life into the original game, adding new enemies, new factions, and new soldiers, giving you the ability to deploy new strategies.

Note: for best results use alternate mod launcher to bypass the new 2k Launcher which sucks.

Aside from a few technical hiccups with the subtitles (which was subsequently patched and fixed) this game is as enjoyable as it was when I played the original.

The story is compelling and heartwrenching at times. The characters are wonderfully voiced and interesting. The choice reactivity makes it worth replaying. And sometimes the consequences play out in ways you don't expect.

The remastered graphics are pretty.

One caveat, if you already own the original, I'm not sure the updated graphics are a compelling enough reason to buy the game again. Honestly, this is just a good choice for new purchasers.

I recommend this, but want to state firmly that this is a very niche game for folks who like a strategy games with a very slight rpg bent but with the benefit of being able to play both for short bursts or long hauls.

The fun is in learning the mechanics, using abilities, and finding the different hidden things. There's not a lot of handholding. If you need a game to give lots of hints or a detailed mechanics guide, this isn't for you.

The art is cute and the set up is simple, and yet it's entertaining and fun albeit frustrating at times.

This game is probably the best of the Life is Strange series. Alex is a wonderful protagonist, powered by a talented VA and an excellent narrative design team. Her tone, expressions, emoting are all engrossing. The story and character interactions range from sweet, funny, and delightful to powerful and heartbreaking. The romantic options are both fully realised and have their own sweetness and charm. The way the game uses empathy as a power is interesting and compelling.
The town feels real. The inhabitants are all round and interesting, with their own motivations and stakes.

Even the happenings of random npcs have a great payoff if you check in on them frequently.
The impact of the choices you never feels cheap or random. The consequences of your actions make sense when they play out and that's not always easy to achieve.

You'll get the most of this game if you take your time to explore before rushing to the main objective. There's lots of small, charming things to find. Lots of fleshing out of characters and mini-story arcs.

The ending felt satisfying and it wasn't a hardship to play the game twice.

A gorgeous and emotional game, from start to finish. Very much recommend experiencing this game without reading spoilers. It'll leave you sitting and thinking when you're done.

Fun and addicting. A great strategy game that gets more complex the more you dig into it. Fun dlc adds life and interesting things to the main game. A great game for math nerds.

This game is one of my all time favourites. All the benefits of the dynamic and interesting background and setting of the Fallout Universe but with fleshed out characters and deep and fascinating storytelling. The VA work is great. The cc is kind of dull but you don't really see your character much. The combat is fun and satisfying.
One caveat. The game is buggy. However, there are a few mods that take care of those.
Mods do expand the life of this game greatly and some have done a lot of great QoL improvements.
However, this game is fun to play on its own. Just save often.
