So far so good. There are still quite a few buggs, but every gamebreaking bug I had sofar has been fixed since release, although it is still advisable to save often.

Some key features that are missing:
- More explanations on what the exact difference for each unit is (It tells you their stats, but not loadouts. also a compare feature for those stats would be nice)
- Some Archer AI fixes (Sometimes your archers stand there and do not shoot even though the enemy has been shooting at them for a minute or two. They will shoot eventually. Seems to be some kind of Line of Sight problems)
- A few more things that I cant think of right now

I'm a bit dissapointed since they have been developing this game for years, but they seem to be doing loads of fixes which is a good sign. So far I find it more enjoyable than Warband.

I have absolutely no issues with the Graphics (ignoring glitches), they look pretty good to me

Absolute fun game.

Great difficulty curve where its teaching you new mechanics slowly. The puzzles and platforming feel good.

The Devs are very nice people that interract in the discord with the community and they encourage speedrunning! (see the 1k$ price for the fastest by a certain date!)

10/10 would buy again

I got this game thinking it mitght be something good, but i wasn't too impressed with the videos in the store page (note: I'm not one to judge "bad" or "outdated" graphsics, I actually enjoy ToME (Tales of Maj'Eyal) graphics).
After I installed it and played the tutorial i was a little overwhelmed with the possibilities and startet an elven alchemist run. Because I had no clue of all the graphical cues and I didnt know that i was getting rekt untill it was too late I died on the very first floor. After that I startet a human Archer and got out of the first area killing the boss and I was proud of my achievements.
Ater only a few runs I was hooked and couldn't stop playing the game for 30 hours in 5 days. I have never ever experienced something like it and had to take a break from the game since I was very frustrated for beeing bad :P

I encourage everyone that loves rouge-like RPGs to get this game, you can play for many many hours.

Pros:

  • Great level and enemy variety and no run is the same
  • Many different races and classes with many different skills for a nigh unlimited replayability
  • You can unlock many classes, races and skills and there are many achivements to get (pretty much impossible to get all)
  • Many different resources like mana, vim, psi...
  • You can disable permadeath and choose either unlimited deaths or limited deaths instead
  • loads of lore
  • The "only one more turn" problem some games have. I lost lots of sleep because it suddenly was 4AM

Cons:

  • You can get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by RNG
  • Some classes are really bad and others are god-worthy
  • It will take you some time to get used to the UI and graphics, but once you got it its great.
  • You will die. alot. sometimes very early on and othertimes to an incredibly powerful foe who randomly spawned there only to ♥♥♥♥ you over even though you had your best run so far. I love that but might be a big nogo for some people.
  • Sometimes it laggs a bit
  • The "only one more turn" problem some games have. I lost lots of sleep because it suddenly was 4AM(this is both good and bad)

There are probably many more things i didn't mention because i forgot. and I lost gametime on steam for some odd reason, i have like 20 hours more in the game than whats displayed.

TL:DR

Great game for a great price with great replayability.

I was really surprised by this game. Its basically a sandbox game with possibilitys to creat your own game. You can play D&D, the family games we all loved or play a serious game of poker or whatever.
I really like the controls, they are easy and feel good. Im surprised by the stacking cards feature and it works quite well. Its still Early access but if it fixes the occasional bug and adds more features/make it easier for customisable games like adding your own game objects then its perfect.
Its defenetly a good pickup if you like games like that and more to come by the community. You probably can play a turnament with that game because its easy to use and you cant really cheat :P

All in all, a really good game and probably a bright futer!
