Great map painting game with lots of potential. It's quite addicting and the already fruitful variety of mod scenarios make this really fun. My main takeaways are that you cannot puppet the allies of your enemies when demanding war goals, you cannot annex vassals peacefully and non-aggression agreements are useless (you can easily get back into a war with a non-agro nation by attacking their ally, which I feel like defeats the purpose of that mechanic.

There have been some points made saying that being able to annex your vassals would make the game too easy, to that I can give a simple solution: Make annexing vassals require extraordinary conditions or in other words every mechanic in a strategy game requires balancing and you could easily balance peaceful annexing with the rest of the game mechanics.

As a last remark, I feel like the game could really use multiplayer! Yes. I do wholeheartedly understand that it would be quite the challenge for the developer, but it would greatly put the game out on the spotlight and even make it a considerable alternative to paradox games.

In conclusion, I am in love with the game and plan on playing it a lot more, but I do expect the developer to add more content and fix the game mechanics that are in place.

Best procedural game EVER!

Very good

The game is definitely interesting and is worth thinking about. Though for some it may be a purchase that won't provide them with the entertainment they wished for. Let's start with the cons:

1) Optimization
The performance of the game is not great, maybe even horrid. I am running a RTX 3050 laptop with 4gb of vram and 32gb of ram, the game runs at an average of 30 fps, reaching lows of 20 and highs of 50 on the lowest settings. This is definitely one of the biggest issues with the game as of right now and basically deters the majority of gamers from playing.

2) Bugs
There are a multitude of bugs that can ruin a game, but it's not something that is a surprise, the developers made it sure to let us know that this game is early into early access.

3) Weapon game play
The weapon game play is... not great? But not bad either. It's very clunky and not what one would expect of a shooter.

That's everything I can list about the cons, now to the pros!

1) Atmosphere
The atmosphere is a grim dark future filled with war and gore. It's perfect for anyone who is into dark literature. Walking around the maps filled with corpses, broken parts and enormous abandoned buildings makes you feel insignificant in the world, which is exactly what the developers aimed for.

2) Soundtrack
Music is perfect. No other comments.

3) Quests
the quests are fun and enjoyable, they come in a good variety and do not only ask you to mercilessly kill enemies, but instead shows a more wholesome side to the whole dark war.

4) Potential
The potential is there for this to become something great and I am sure it will.

Great game overall, would not recommend it for 30$+ but I live in Ukraine so I was able to get it for 12$ instead which I find it to be a very good price :)

There are bugs with coop but those can be fixed with mods, hoping the developers actually think to fixing it themselves. Future updates look VERY promising, might be the first high fidelity submarine game to have a global map, coop game play and also drive-able corvettes.

I joined a flotilla, Duyfken, and had a blast playing as machinist, everyone was respectful and keen to help the newer folk to learn the steps. There are bad apples in the community but you can easily avoid such people.

In conclusion, I recommend this game to anyone who isn't going to regret wasting 30-35$ since if the planned features ever do get released this would be a great investment.

Performance is Good, playing at lowest/low/medium settings and getting consistent 70 fps on lobby and maps, and im running on a gaming laptop from 2021 (i7 11800h, RTX 3050 M, 32 gb ram, SSD).
I would really appreciate it if they got better anti aliasing and DLSS/FSR implemented.

Gameplay wise, this is fun, if you can tolerate some of the bugs. Reminds me of battlefront 2 mixed with warframe. Audio is just ear orgasms and visuals are stunning even on low settings, I believe we have reached a point where low preset graphics look good in most video games.

Main issues are crashing and desync on missions. And sometimes unknown fps drops in the lobby.

This game would've been perfect if it wasn't made by Dovetail games :)

Very good route, probably one of the best. Scenarios are well made and the locos are just wonderful to look at and drive.
