Former Review:
This is supposed to be a successor to Until Dawn?
It looks worse than Until Dawn in my perception and the story is really, really underwhelming. In fact, an attempt has been made here to apply a film template a la "Halloween" or "Friday the Thirteenth", dragging the frame story into the present. The problem that has been overlooked here is that the characters relate to each other anachronistically. The guys would fit great in a splatter movie of the 80s, while the girls tend to follow the current social narrative. Of course, this clashes with each other, and the writers have chosen to give an edge to the current narrative.
Small note: Just as the two genders are written at odds with each other, so is the menu design to the frame story.
When I saw that 8-bit 80s get-up of the main menu, I was looking forward to a nice trashy splatter movie, but as soon as I saw the first smartphone, the anticipation was almost over. Then you get to know the two characters Max and... and... his girl, and my mood was in the dumps.

The only bright spot is the movie mode where you can determine how the characters should behave all in all. Then you just press play and watch a film according to your preferences. At least that's how I imagine it, because until now the game always crashed between scene changes.

But there won't be a refund. I will play through the game ( simply because I bought the key very cheaply) and I will let the characters die who deserved it. That way I can at least do some justice and maybe save the story.

As an aside: I think each of the characters has earned a nickname.
