It aight, sure its not the same exact formula as the first game, personally I think that's fine, it wasn't like the first game had a genius breathtaking idea that was so beyond what is possible now, I just think the release is rocky and people be booty tickled it wasn't up to the hype that nothing is these days just check it out and if its doodoo no for you you then refund that ♥♥♥♥ pimp don't be a bozo. I did get this for free so I can't complain as I did sink 9 hours into to understand it thoroughly, I'll be honest for $30 for one mission If I did pay for this I'd be a little pissed but hey it'll probably have more ♥♥♥♥ going on maybe. If it still has no maps in like a year and I remember this, I'll make this a negative review lol cya later ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Edit: The campaign is great, really it is, but the pve and pvp after further review is just too much grinding in progression for me to actually say spending $100 on this was worth the buy. I'd say for the campaign by itself is worth $30 maybe $40 tops. But with how the pvp and pve is, I don't think they hit anywhere near the $50 to $60 mark for that huge price tag lmao. I payed because I'm hopeless addicted to the plastic and digital crack known as Warhammer as a franchise but man, However, I just don't have the time nor interest to repeat the same operations for 200+ hours to get all my marines to a playable state. Its a little much...

SPOILER WARNING DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THE CAMPAIGN THROUGH: I have just done the segment with the last stand of the second company standard, and its so unbelievably cinematic and awesome I had goose bumps and adrenaline the entire time, then MOTHER ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MARNEUS CALGAR SHOWS UP AND I WAS HOOTING AND HOLLERING LIKE A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHIMP, absolutely magnificent cinematics, exactly what expected from ultramarines second company shenanigans. thank you bruva alfabusa for making me care about marneus even if I never read a black library book about him. Is the only dinosaur game I've bought that is actually still being developed actively

when I first got this game, I had to play it offline for about a month, but it was still absolutely amazing, beating my first campaign pretty much ever with 500+ hours across the total war warhammer games, overall pretty good, the dlc prices are insane but other than that; I think Daemon Prince is hands down the most enjoyable and well made campaign I've played yet, I just like making a custom build-a-daemon. (edit: as of the latest updates I just keep crashing to desktop after a few minutes of playing, its no fun to work around it, so I just don't play this game anymore) ((Edit of edit: bought a new pc, game works fine now, gotta love a fix that costs $1500))

It is a ten year old game I still enjoy to this day, modded albeit, but its still a gem. It only took me those ten years to learn the eden editor and my smoothbrained comprehension of surface level programming to make my own scenarios

After about 90 hours of playing this game, I have literally nothing to say about vanilla DoWSS, as I have exclusively and extensively toiled in mods, and as such this review is going to be covering some of the larger ones. Unification and Ultimate Apocalypse are two very big ones that I've spent a surplus of time in. Unification is good for what I'd describe as roughly recreating a 2000 point battle, It doesn't have the grand scale or godlike units of Ultimate Apocalypse, but I'd say that is a pro or con, depending on your preference. Unification is balanced fairly well for a mod, Ultimate Apocalypse is not. UA is a massive scale battle set in practically apocalypse rules, the only issue at the moment is the same issue that plagued Epic, and that is lack of dedicated xenos titans that can match an Imperator, now obviously you won't be seeing the Imperator often, but it can singlehandedly change the tide of the game. However, this isn't an issue the developers can ever fix, as it would be homebrew for them to make any xenos have titans that large, as it just doesn't exist in lore yet (plus most appearances of Imperators occur during the HH anyways, so no xenos were really a thought). Basically, game is okay, mods are better, that is all

Great game visually, auditory, and graphically impressive, overall amazing game well worth the price, ONCE, it has had some updates, as it is now, if I knew every single flaw that I know now, I'd pay about $30-$40 and feel content, but with the current list of issues between poor optimization, memory leaks, and the plethora of bugs (some fun to witness, others game-breaking) it does not speak well for a $60 AAA title
