WARNING: SPOILERS

Alright so this game is definitely a hidden gem. I only found out about this game from r/omori seeing the release channel. I put the game on my wishlist awaiting for a time where i'd play the game which was about a month later. I started it very late in the day I only got like 11 minutes but things I immediately liked was the visuals. This game shows that you don't have to be a great artist to create beautiful visuals. This game is entirely hand drawn on paper in a very simple way but along with that is the lighting effects of the map and animations. You could look at this game and say what game it is. It's such a simple but recognizable art style, Great job. After 11 minutes in i'm pretty sure I went to school? I kinda forgot exactly where I left off there but this day I played through most of the game. I got through the school and met many goofy characters and silly moments but also putting the ghost sheet on you start to see the harsh memories of this character. They're depicted so well enough that you can really feel what this character was going through. After the school was visiting your parents. To be honest this was a little bit hard of a spot to get through with just how realistic the audio sounds. Now i'm not someone with abusive parents or anything but like all parents they have arguments and they are loud and uncomfortable. Often having to lock yourself in your room so you don't get yourself in the middle of this. Some of these moments really hit close. Not even of the violence or anything, the straight up audio of arguing and muffle of it I heck even looked behind at my door thinking if it was real but turns out it's the game. Later you go into Cat City which was quite a charming area. It had many silly things like having to cook dishes for cats and accidentally melting plastic into the food and you have to rush to make a better one or else a bad review would be left or going around and rating cat loafs (i rated them all 10s) a lot of fun in this area but also has some sad parts when it comes to the cat the protagonist used to have. I kinda saw where it was going and that the cat had to of died but seeing the scene of the cat running and then getting run over hurt. The arcade machine was cool but that ending of it kinda really already told me on what one of the issues the protagonist has. Anyways after this made it to climbing the mountain and oh boy. Seeing Haven pulling out the grinder was unexpected. She previously was depicted just so innocently and now she's a stoner? damn. The protagonist going to the party was relatable. I am someone myself who is really bad at communication and has social anxiety, especially in crowded places. All the time I have friends who go on to go hang out with their friend groups and I end up being completely ingored or no way for me to enter the conversation. So that scene just hit especially. So yea, after that was day 6 which definitely seems to be inspired by Black Space from Omori. You have to go the corners of the map to go into a place to collect something like how in Omori you go into the doors and collect the keys. Only this time you go in and collect important items while being explained to on how you need to overcome and move on. All of those rooms were cool but the final path going up I ended up getting stuck on and ended up having to stop for the night. I eventually was given a guide and it turns out there were pages I missed in the playground. So I went and got them and then the final goodbyes to the shadows the protagonist created. I climbed up the rope and made it to the final day. Walked through the door and ended up at a grass field. Walked around for a bit and there was nothing to do so I ended up having to interact with the bus stop and then this is when the protag wakes up. As soon as the wake up happens bam the game is over....... REALLY!?....... damn what a cliff hanger but I suppose maybe what happens, happens in the other routes maybe. I'm writing this after I just made it through the route I went through. I assume this probably was the neutral route. Oh whatever i'll replay and try to figure out what the other routes are and do them. Anyways great game. Actually great game. This again is a hidden gem, I'm surprised a game like this isn't taking over the internet. The visuals, The story, The dialogue and emotional impact are great. I will definitely be recommending this game to those who have played Omori or anyone I think would be interested in general. Thank you for this cool game!
