It seems that whatever you do, you can't please everyone. First they complained about the skins locked behind challenges, now that the challenges are gone, they complain about the lack of challenges. It's only skins, it will not affect your gameplay, you will not miss anything if you don't get them. If you want challenges, don't buy a DLC that contains only skins, buy only the career DLC.

Yea the skins are alright I guess, but they definitely could have been better. You get the shining light blue weapon skins introduced with the Chaos Waste update, you get the shining purple weapon skins introduced in another DLC that I can't remember the name of and some decent headgears and uniforms that are just reskins.

I disagree with this business model of locking the cosmetics behind another paid DLC, BUT it's only cosmetics and you don't miss out on anything if you don't buy it. Some people love the shining skins, some people don't like them, but it's just some pixels and you don't actually need them to enjoy this game. And also, why complain about the hero skins when you can barely see them in-game? Sure, you can play with bots and see their models, but what are you going to do, stare at the bots to admire your purchase?

The new class is fun to play and that's all that matters, it's quite cheap and it's worthy of your money. This is, of course, if you casually play this game, for fun, and not to be some edge lord that says that ''oN hIgHeR dIfFiCuLtIes'' it's useless. Not all classes are meant for everybody, one class does something, the other does something else and to complain about this not being good at one thing makes me wonder if you are really qualified to give your opinion about what is good and what is not good in this game.

And of course you can't block with the new two weapons, why do you think they are in the ranged weapon slot? I think those who complain about this are the ones who shoot you in the back of the head with from behind on every occasion and only use the bow because they think this is some sort of shooter game. No, they are not meant for blocking they are made for ranged kills and for killing specials, if you want to block use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapon from the first slot.

The skill tree is good, there are some nice skill combos that you can choose from, the character's model looks good, the weapons are fun to play, so overall, this is a good class and a good DLC.

I will start this review mentioning that when I first posted it, I was recommending this game because for the first 20 hours it was interesting, but after almost 20 more hours and after finishing the game, I can no longer recommend it and if you are interested in reading a long review, go for it to see why. If you do not want to read the entire review, at least PLEASE read the note at the bottom*

Firstly, I won't be handing out spoilers, but I am amazed by the fact that people are not calling this game MAGA WALKING SIMULATOR. Secondly, I really wanted to play this game for a long time because the concept was really interesting to me, I do not care about Kojima or about his reputation, I am not a fanboy (and by the end of this review you will feel that I kind of started to hate him).

Now, with dumb jokes and sassy remarks aside, do you know that feeling when you buy a brand new phone, open the box and you hold the device for the first time and you are amazed by the build quality and the materials and get that feeling of a ''premium product''? This is the exact feeling I got when I first opened up Death Stranding, right off the bat it felt like a premium product, like a game that has been in development for a lot of years and it has been polished and crafted with a lot of attention to details.

But then you start to see that your shiny phone has some flaws, like the headphone jack that is missing, and you say ''oh well I can deal with that''. Then you search the box it came in and you see that it has no charger and you say again ''I definitely don't need it because I have dozens around''. And then you open up the phone and you see that is has a modified OS with no Google Play Store and you say to yourself ''oh well, I think I will find another way to download apps, others have done it'' and in the end you realize that it is a decent phone, but not the best phone.

It seems you need a PhD in engineering to use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map in this game, it's overly complicated and with no reasons to be this way. The story is alright, I guess, there are a lot of things that don't make sense and the one that do make sense are nothing to write home about. It's interesting, indeed, as I mentioned before, but it's not outstanding. The combat is simple, and it's a really good thing, because this game is not combat focused, even though you have lethal and non-lethal firearms for human enemies and some sort of grenades and weapons for non-human enemies.

The driving mechanics, however, are driving me mad. You might say, ''but Juice, why do you think this game is called a walking simulator? Even you called it that way'', to which I reply, ''I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ know, but since you can fabricate cars and bikes almost out of thin air, you might as well use them, and where have you seen delivery boys walking a lot of kilometers with 100+ kilograms on their backs?'' It's so stupid, you drive at max speed on a bike just to stop in a fraction of a second when you hit a pebble or when the non-human enemies surround you. If momentum affects the main character when he is walking, why doesn't momentum affect vehicles as well??

For a ''walking simulator'', you would think that they got the ''walking'' part right... right? Well, not really. There are some intricate mechanics that I really appreciate, but I swear, even after 20 hours in this game I feel like the character will simply just break in half if he just looks behind. Load him up with 150 kilos and you will barely walk straight, but then you can knockout 5 human enemies in 30 seconds like a superhuman, only to fall on the ground like a granny a second after because you hit a pebble (again).

You can see that they spent a lot of time on small details, but the main two mechanics of the game are so inconsistent that it makes me want to call Kojima to ask him ''yo, Mister Kojima, did you have people testing this game before releasing it?''

The more I played it, the more I hated it. Please, can everybody stop kissing Kojima's ass? Come on now, this won Game of the Year Award? It speaks a lot about the low levels the gaming industry reached if this was considered best game of last year. Let's admit it, if this would have been released by EA or Ubisoft everybody would have ♥♥♥♥ on it. How can people close their eyes and give this game a pass and being this bad, it is beyond me. And before you say that I do not understand Kojima's genius, you need to pull his penis out of your mouth so you can properly speak.

Just because famous actors that were cast, it does not necessarily mean that they did a good job, not because they are bad actors, but because they had a lame script to follow. The only thing that stood out from the story was Troy Baker (Higgs), he really stole the show with his voice acting and motion capture. Guillermo del Toro (Deadman) did a good job as well, his character was very likeable. Norman Reedus (Sam) was just ok, his character kind of lacked substance, it was hard for me to get attached to him and his character development was lame. Mads Mikkelsen did an alright job, but did I miss something or his role felt unsignificant? He was everywhere in the trailers and in promotions but his in-game screen time was lacking. It's a shame that Léa Seydoux (Fragile) did not get more attention (and no, you wankers, not because she is wearing latex). Margaret Qualley (Mama) was straight cringe. The performance of Emily O'Brien (Amelie) was cold, nothing to get attached to. Tommie Earl Jenkins (Die-Hardman) was alright, his character was annoying sometime but he did a good job. As I said before, the story is not oustanding and it's filled with cringe lines and gestures that break the flow and the immersion (Heartman and Chiral Artist, I am looking at you). And the cameos of some famous people like Conan were just cringe, the game and we would have been better off without them.

The human and non-human enemies encounters were just boring and lame and repetitive. You go out, it starts raining, non-human enemies surround you, they drag you under the tar (OR if you are lucky you speed up and get past them), you fight an insignificant boss, you get over it, in 100 meters you encounter human enemies, you speed up or knock them all out, you get over it, in 100 meters you encounter non-human enemies again, you get the same lame animation, you get dragged under, fight the same lame boss and that's it. The first two encounters with both enemies were fun and mysterious but beyond that it becomes more than annoying and with no substance.

Don't even try to finish some side quests, they are just not worth it and you will just waste your time. In 109 minutes of playtime I barely managed to complete a few deliveries because the walking/driving mechanics are bad and I had to break the flow of the game 15 times per minute, and when I finally managed to get on a straight road I had enemy encounters every 2 or 3 minutes and it was more than tiring.

(Also, why did I have to waste a lot of my time just to literally do nothing and watch the credits roll 2 times? What a stupid waste of time, I wonder who came up with that idea and how it got approved)

If at first the gamed seemed polished, by the end of it I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth and with 23,99€ gone from my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wallet. Even though I do not regret buying it and playing it, I am happy that I did not buy this at full price.

*BEFORE YOU START PLAYING: GO TO SYSTEM - OPTIONS - GAME SETTINGS - BT ENCOUNTER WARNING AND SET IT TO FIRST TIME ONLY. Apparently, some bright mind thought that a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unskippable cut scene for every time you encounter non-human enemies would be awesome and fun but as it turns out, they had to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ put out a patch after release to add this option. Thank you, Kojima, your genius is out of this poor wretched world. (<- this last line is sarcasm if there are some other bright minds reading this)

I have started this game from the beginning three times, I think, and I could not play for more than 10 hours each time. Clearly, I do not recommend it, not even if it's on sale or even if it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ free, just steer clear of this game, you will absolutely not miss anything.

I do not know how Ubisoft see the world they live in, because their portrayal of the hacker world or just the world in general is so damn cringe, you would think that a 14 year old individual with hormonal disorders wrote the story and the character lines and character ''development''. And their portrayal of black and LGBT people it's so unnatural and their inclusion so forced, it just screams ''Look at us, we try to be cool and edgy and we offer a fake support just so we can milk some money and to make it seem like we care'', it's just like when all of those big companies and corporations show their fake support for oppressed groups and say that certain lives matter but they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ use poor Chinese people and use them as slaves to make their products. We know you don't care, so just portray people as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people and don't add them by force as edgy and cringe worthy entities.

The gameplay is so generic and unsatisfying and feels and looks like they have recycled a lot of elements from their other titles and combined them to make this mess of a game. The hacking mechanics are there just so they can say that they have upgraded something from the first game, the shooting is so bad, it's like an unpolished version of Ghost Recon, the driving is absolutely terrible, you don't even feel like you are driving a car, the main character movement feels like a bootleg mobile version of Assassin's Creed, the stealth mechanics are broken and useless since everybody can detect you and the AI is so awful, it makes me wish they did not include AI at all in this game. Come on, how did this game even got released? It feels like it's an early Alpha version where they have managed to get rid of all of the placeholder assets.

The graphics are not bad, but not amazing either, and don't get fooled by all the colors from San Francisco, because they don't mean ♥♥♥♥ - just because this game has more colors than the ''grey Chicago'' from the first game, it doesn't mean that the graphics are better, as they are just plain average and have nothing special at all.

Will you gain something by playing this game? Absolutely not. Is there something you're missing by not playing this game? Hell no. Will you lose something if you play this game? Some brain cells, precious time and money, if you are one of those unlucky persons who bought the game, so treat yourself and stay away from this game.
