A very in depth and educational puzzle game that's a great gift for birthday parties and holidays

This game is suitable for all ages and even those unitiated in the mechanics of guns, making this a great gift for friends and family and neighbors

Learn the internal mechanics of the humble AK-47 to the impossibly complex FAMAS F1 oh my god for real why does it have so many parts jesus christ

and disassemble skeletons

That's what it used to be when it came out, but not today. Because of various mechanic and balance changes, the game has been left heavily biased towards "competitive players" who will use absurd looking tactics such as jumping mid-strike to hit over your block or spinning around to perform attacks backwards, which alienates more casual players who just want to have some stereotype medieval action.

I used to adore this game, but it has been left a mess by gameplay meta tactics and weapons, which can only be matched by stooping to using the same tactics.

Many weapons, while usable with skill, will be heavily outclassed by blatantly better weapons by being longer, nearly equal in speed, and more damaging overall. So why not use those weapons if you'll do even better with the same amount of skill? Does two people sprinting in circles swinging messer swords backwards and jumping in the middle of it sound like a cool medieval fight? Note that this is very common in pubs.

Aside from gameplay, there are also other nitpicks such as future Objective Maps lacking "Go for the Objective!" voicelines for characters, while the original maps did and were great for adding to the experience and gravity of the situation.

Summarily, this game is a husk of what it used to be, and I won't be picking it back up if it stays like this. Who knows, perhaps it will change. If you love learning crazy mechanics and trying to one-up others in rapidly spinning and jumping, go ahead with this game. But if you want an actual medieval looking fight that you can just jump right into without commiting to learning all the meta; go play Mount & Blade.
