Please for the love of god make a sequel. This game is amazing and severely underrated. I wish there was more fan-content surrounding this game so I could fill the void it left in me once I realized it was over.

This game had a phenomenal story, and made you really feel for the characters. I also appreciate that, when entering relationships with characters, there's nothing explicit for players like me who aren't into the sexual side of romance but likes the fluffier wholesome side of a relationship (like hugs, kisses, and getting each other through tough times).

The only critique I can give is that (except for at the very end of the game, though even still) most choices seem to make minimal impact, you don't really realize this until you try to replay and make different choices but it really bummed me out once I realized that.

This became especially apparent when you tried to replay with/without certain relationships and you quickly realized the only real difference is an extra text box mentioning that your relationship exists, or just replacing the word 'friend' with 'lover' where necessary. I feel like there should have been certain scenes that would be completely different depending on if you were their lover or not, ESPECIALLY in heart-to-hearts or in the loyalty scenes.

Aside from that grievance though? This game has easily become one of my top favorites, and a part of me is sad to see it over so soon. I hope that the creator makes a sequel or even a DLC to this game (like, wouldn't it be absolutely amazing to have it read your save file from the original and have to play through the consequences of your play though? Just speculation of course, I just wish there was more to your actions than the epilogue and vague mentions of your choices. )

TLDR; if you plan to play this game, stick to one playthrough for the best experience. Also I really want the devs to make a sequel because I love these characters and you will too! Ulric my beloved best boi, never change.

A very good game with a cute artstyle and good story (At least from what I've seen so far!)
Definitely recommended, though this review is to counter some of the problems other folks have with the game, at least from what I understand of it. Though first I should clarify: It's ok not to like Cozy Grove, or some aspects of it! I'm just countering the two most agreed upon critiques since I feel like people are being a little harsh with the game in it's first week of release. That's not to say any of these critiques are invalid, I just wanted to point why I think these 'flaws' are important and help prevent far worse problems.
Ok so as for the critiques I've seen so far, I'll be going over each of them one by one. I won't be going over all of them, but I will be going over the more common ones as well as the top negative review as of writing this.

1.) The '1 Quest a day for Each Character' Restriction
This point, which I will be refering to as the Quest Restriction, is one of the most criticized elements of this game. As a matter of fact, I myself complained about it when I first played because I was hooked and it felt like the game cut me off, but as I played I later understood why they did this.
Let's imagine that they removed this Quest Restriction, there are a lot of gamers (such as myself) who will beat one game in a matter of days. For example, I beat Portal 2 in 3 days, and Little Misfortune in 1 day (2 if you count the completionist run), but that isn't how you're supposed to play Cozy Grove.
Cozy Grove is a game where you are stuck on an island for multiple days, weeks, or even months. If they removed this restriction, folks would rush over all the charming elements of the game and not have the chance to truly connect with the characters and story of Cozy Grove. Without the Quest Restriction, it makes it much harder to truly get entranced by the world of Cozy Grove, which could very well ruin the experience for most players.
In other words, it's worth it in the long run. Though I personally think that, after a player has completed the story, the Quest Restriction should be a toggle-able option for other save files, though this is more of a assisting feature for folks who want multiple islands and 100% completion.

2.) Resource Management Flaws (Specifically the Small Stack Sizes)
The top negative review as of writing this talks about how the small stack sizes requiring you to drop things on the ground or save quest items for other bears, taking up inventory space and storage space. I'll quote the original review so you guys get the context:
"One problem is stack size. The stacks are really small, it's dependent on the item but, for example, "leafy greens" This is a very common resource, you can get around 6 from on harvest and there will be multiple bushes on the map. The stack size is only 10 for this item, so in two days I had like 5 slots of inventory filled with leafy greens. This is just from casually harvesting as I do the daily quests, I ended up just throwing them on the ground, will they disappear? Can I get them easily later? We'll see. The spirits will also give you quest items you need later. So you are obligated to use storage to hold them for days."
I completely understand where this is coming from, as I too tend to get an excess of leafy greens, mushrooms, and also have to drop them on the floor from time to time. However, I believe this too is needed. Since you don't have many choices you can make in quests, the game instead makes you make choices on which of your valuable things you need to hold on in your inventory, in Flamey's Storage, on the ground, crafted into something else, or sold.
A few days ago, I was grinding to get 25,000 gold for the next storage upgrade. I had loads of Iron and I thought it was clogging my inventory, so I figured I'd just smelt it, then sell it. The next day, Charlotte needed iron to craft me an Iron Pickaxe. That taught me that Iron is an important item, and that I should never sell it unless I have more than one stack. Choices like this is why they make the stacks so small, you have to learn which items are important for quests and which are clogging your inventory by trial and error. In my opinion that gives the game more challenge and more of a strategic inventory management system.

Anywho these are just my opinion, for anyone reading these reviews seeing if it's a worthwhile buy, go for it! It has a very cute artstyle, lovable characters, and a whimsical dialogue that you shouldn't miss out on!

An Amazing game with stellar graphics and storytelling. Characters are funny and this game makes me weep for the loss of Portal 3.
