I know it says on Steam that I've only played the game for about 20 minutes. That is because I don't play the game through Steam, I use Loading Bay. That being said I was a beta tester for this game in CBT2 and 3 so I actually have ~500+ hours of playtime.

Game is great on many levels and very engaging. The big problem with this game is CHEATING.
All the top warbands in my server have been exploiting to win the stronghold conquest wars. My warband and I have been typing reports until our fingers are bloody and NOTHING is being done about it.
Can't recommend unless you like cheaters and devs who green light them.

If you like combat, you'll like this game.
I am particularly attracted to the art and associated lore, your mileage may vary.

No need for me to go into initial launch stories. If you're reading this you already know the score. At this point they seem to finally feel finished with the game, Phantom Liberty just launched today so in the preceding days I downloaded and played 2.0. The changes are mostly good imo, but the gameplay still sucks horribly. Stiff, rigid movement, janky and unnecessarily complex combat controls that ruin the flow. I was hoping 2.0 might improve some of these thing, but it's all still the same.
Can't really see shelling out more money for a game I bought at full price, only to get more of the same janky, stiff moving gameplay. It's a GOOD game, but it's not really a FUN game.... if that makes any sense.

My recommendation? .....buy it on sale if you think you'll like it. The hype is pure BS.

It's a great game and concept. Unfortunately the performance is terrible unless you have a NASA quality PC. It's early access, which would lead you to believe that development work is taking place but the fact is the current build hasn't been updated for nearly a year. The devs are all but completely absent, the game is still in Alpha after 10 years, and not much on the horizon. All that being said, if you have the PC to run it, it's really fun, just don't expect frequent updates or any sort of communication with/from the devs. Also the steam forum for this game is full of super toxic fanboys (the forum mod being one of them), so tread carefully if you feel like expressing an opinion.
I should also mention, ignore the minimum and recommended specs if you're looking to buy. The minimum spec listed simply won't run the game in a playable/enjoyable way and the recommended specs will barely get you in the door.

::EDIT:: They finally had an update. Lots of new graphics and little additions. They spent over a year overhauling systems that players liked and didn't bother fixing the big problems. Game still requires a NASA PC to run acceptably, This still gets a thumbs down based on the terrible performance. Multiplayer is a big thing in this game and I can't recommend this to my friends in this pathetic state.

Between the nearly non-existent support for steering wheels and the many accounts and sign ins you have to execute before just playing your game, I became frustrated enough to just chalk it up and go install a better game. Also, if you use port forwards, this game will make you get rid of them. Xbox networking apparently can't run if you use IPv6.

The "head bob" that you can't turn off makes this game unplayable for me. Total waste of money since I literally can't/won't play it. Absolute trash that the devs never bothered to address this since a google search will tell you it's been a big problem with the game since day one. Wish I could refund this turd.

This game is amazing. Unlike most other free to play games, there is actually some content for you to play before paying. The optimization is superb. I have to lock it 120fps to keep the heat down, left unchecked I can easily exceed 400fps with every graphics option maxed.

I paid full price like an idiot and they "twilighted" most of my content. It's a great game if you like having your paid content removed and being forced to submit to what is essentially a subscription (if you want new content).

Summary: Game would be great if it wasn't a ripoff.
