I've played a lot of Rimworld, putting around 400 hours into it before adding more than like four basic mods. With or without mods it's given me a seriously unique experience. To start I have a fondness for games that you can tab in and out of without any annoyance or consequence, which this one is among. It's all together a pretty light game to run which was nice when I had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop when I bought this. I'm also a big fan of how it mixes storytelling and oddity, and I especially love the procedurally generated art descriptions you'll get on anything and everything. After playing enough to fully understand the game from start to finish, I decided to see what others tried to do with mods. The modding community for this game is seriously impressive, adding all kinds of things I absolutely need but didn't know I needed, like a comprehensive magic system and many different kinds of birds to befriend.

One time I got about 10 people to scream at once. Nothing in the game prompted that to happen other than me asking everyone to scream. It was a magical moment in gaming for me.
