CS:GO Review
If you like getting shot in the face in high latency because everyone in the world has a better internet connection than you, GO FOR IT!!
But, Seriously...
Game is very competetive with blue shell effect (Mario Kart reference) where you get rewarded for loosing rounds in a row. Players are not awarded for dominating the enemy team.
Game has a nice steep learning curve where there is always a scope to get better.
Ranks are very arbitary as almost everyone gets into LE and LEM very easily and highest rank like GE is also not that rewarding.
LEM SMFC and GE ranks are notorious for hacks to compete at the level.
Impossible to play the game with randoms and always need a lobby to effectively rank up.
Need official 128 tickrate competetive servers as 64 tickrate just doesn't cut it.
Also Valve needs to fund more events other than DreamHack. Game is loved by millions and should really cultivate the demanding market for tactical competetive shooter.
Also be ready to dive into the world of CS:GO item trading and betting. The underbelly of CS:GO - betting on matches. Many younger kids are attracted to in-game items and also fall victim to addictiveness of gambling on professional matches. I have seen young kids blow all their money and still being addicted to CSGL and other sites.
This game has alot to offer the buyer in terms of content and blows the competetion out of the water with respect to the price tag.
Want a nice, somewhat fair pick up game of tactical shooter? look no further and welcome to de_dust2.
