F̶u̶l̶l̶ o̶f̶ j̶i̶g̶g̶l̶y̶ w̶a̶i̶f̶u̶s̶ a̶n̶d̶ p̶l̶a̶y̶e̶r̶s̶ w̶h̶o̶ r̶e̶f̶u̶s̶e̶ t̶o̶ b̶l̶o̶c̶k̶. 1̶0̶/1̶0̶

The issues this game has:
- Poor ranked integrity due to a lack of protections, which allow players to one-and-done to cherry-pick their matches and inflate their rank. There are a few things in place now to discourage disconnecting mid-match before a loss, but these systems are still lacking and behind other modern fighting games like SF6.
- Poor game design for fostering a competitive environment. For casuals, this game is great. You can learn a combo or two and jump in and play. For competitive players, this game's design leans towards frequent and forced guesses. High level players will understand that a good competitive fighting game will allow you to restrict your opponent's defensive options or hedge against multiple options with a single option. T8 takes nearly the opposite approach by doing its best to ensure that the options remain unhindered for both players. This unfortunately doesn't lend itself well to fighting game fundamentals and competitive play.
- Greedy microtransactions. It's 2024, I'm not going to pretend other fighting games aren't doing this as well, but it still sucks to see.
- Rough netcode. It's leaps and bounds better netcode than T7, but it's still far behind other fighting games like Strive or SF6. It feels like the implementation of rollback hasn't quite been figured out by the T8 team.
- Poor character balance and design. The roster and movepool is massive, which is expected in the Tekken series. Yet there are so many archaic animations that haven't been updated across several games. Aside from just aesthetics, the character balance is quite rough. No FG is perfect, but T8 clearly doesn't consider the competitive potential for the game with the decisions and priorities they have made in regards to the game's development.

Overall, I'd be happy to return to the game, if some of these get addressed, but as a FG player, I can't take it seriously with these issues. There are so many other great FGs out there that I could be playing instead that don't have these issues to the degree that T8 has them.

Ed Boon is out of his gourd, if he expects me to pay $10 for a fatality. MK players don't even have the attention span to watch the whole fatality anyway. You expect someone who can't hold the block button for more than 2 seconds to sit through your cringe, Halloween-themed fatality and then feel like that money was well-spent?

Every character except mine is a stupid cheap netplay warrior and all their mix/pressure only exists on wifi but I play a completely honest character and don’t rely on netplay gimmicks at all. 2 frames of delay is unplayable and reacting to Ferry's normals or Belial's whatever-he-has is nigh impossible. I can’t hit confirm my counterhit in all this lag but of course the monkey glue eating Percival player can just press buttons and auto confirm bc everything he does is incredibly safe or at least it looks like it is I haven’t looked anything up. I am retiring from Granblue Fantasy Versus and will be playing a real game, with real netcode, real characters and a real community, Dungeon aNd Fighter Duel

I can’t hit confirm my counterhit in all this lag but of course the monkey glue eating MGrappler player can just press buttons and auto confirm bc everything he does is incredibly safe or at least it looks like it is I haven’t looked anything up. I am retiring from Dungeon aNd Fighter Duel and will be playing a real game, with real netcode, real characters and a real community, Granblue Fantasy Versus

Forced cutscenes in 2018

45 minute intro of slow walking and cutscenes

quick menu doesnt even work for half of the items on keyboard

game literally doesnt allow you to close it at certain points

denuvo drm

mouse accelleration

combat is clunky at best

why did it take 6 months to make a garbage port
