Mafia is a flawed game but entertaining, I would't buy it at full price but i'd recommend it on sale. If you've played mafia 2 then this should feel fairly familiar except there are very few customization options, there isn't even a cash system that you would normally use to buy items in shops. To clarify this isn't necessarily a bad thing, instead the game just gives you the tools you need to complete the missions and lets you pick what you want to take. Over all this game is short but right to the point, the story is what your getting it for and the game play is kinda just there to get you to where you need to go. Also THE RACE isn't that hard once you realize that you need to use your speed limit (L on the keyboard) + the charge (F on the keyboard) instead of your breaks otherwise you'll just spin out and lose. I'd also recommend remaping them for at least the race mission. Some other issues include mission prompts that are a bit to vague, the one that comes to mind involves a mission where you are supposed to assassinate a rival mobster which leads to a motorcycle chase but you actually aren't supposed to catch up with him your just supposed to follow him which I only realized after getting gunned down for getting to close a few of times. I also had a few minor graphical glitches but other than that the game is beautiful.

TL:DR
If you're a fan of the Mafia games you most likely already own this, and if you're just getting into it honestly i'd recommend starting with Mafia 2 to see if its your cup of tea unless this one is on sale.


Good job Hangar 13! it might not be a masterpiece but I can see solid improvements from Mafia 3 and i'm looking forward to whats next, even if ill probably wait till its on sale to get it.
