I mean... it's Portal 2, how could you not have played it in [CURRENT YEAR]?
A brilliant puzzle platformer that stands the test of time with a very talented pool of voice talent.
It's only €2 in the current Autumn Sale, just do it. For science. You monster.

Picked it up after playing the demo because I'm interested in this sort of genre, well worth the asking price and would recommend to anyone who loves sifting through data to find pieces of interesting information.

This games developers promised that there would never be microtransactions. Oh! There's now microtransactions in the game! Shady business practice is shady and Overkill will never get a cent of my money ever again.

(Please note this review is only for Episode 1, I will have reviews for the other episodes when I play them. Thank you!)
Max Caulfield is an ordinary girl with an extraordinary power. She wakes up one morning in October, expecting everything to be the same as usual. But one surreal daydream sets her down a path that will lead to something that no-one in the sleepy town of Arcadia Bay was expecting...

Life is Strange is an episodic, mystery, point-and-click game set in the town of Arcadia Bay in Oregon, USA. The story is centered around Max Caulfield, an 18-year-old girl who grew up in the town but for the past five years has been living in Seattle. She returns to Arcadia Bay after recieving a scholarship to go to Blackwell Academy to study photography, although she had to leave her parents behind due to finanical difficulties. Now she lives on campus in Blackwell and has quite the photo collection on her bedroom wall!

What did I think of Life is Strange Episode 1? I wasn't too sure when I started, but I was quickly enticed by the story. Telltale have really made a monopoly on these sort of games lately and it's nice to see Square Enix (Of all people!) to bring out this sort of game that people can relate to a lot more on a personal level than.. Game of Thrones or Borderlands, you get what I mean?

The art department on Episode One did an amazing job, everything from sunsets to lighting was perfect and it was truely reflective of a summers day, although they are few and far between in Ireland!

I enjoyed the wide range of characters in the game, from the super-elite right down to the quiet "geeks" of Blackwell. While some do represent hardcore stereotypes, some are very grounded and.. real, is the right word to use, I guess? Although I wished that there had been more choice to intervene in certain scenes.

That brings me onto my last point, which is the amount of choice in the game, and the impact of the choices you make later on in the game. So far, my choices have amounted to either a momentary mood change in the character I interacted with, or a little variation in a text message I recieve (comparative to other playthroughs that I've seen).

Although I would highly recommend this game to anyone that it new to the point-and-click genre and to anyone looking for a (mainly) feel-good game.

So, what is my final rating for Life is Strange Episode 1? I'm going to give it a solid 9.5/10 as I felt that choice lacked and there could have been more of it.

Early Access Review
Unturned is an example of what Day-Z should have been in the form of a Minecraft-esque graphical game. The mechanics work like a charm and the crafting feels like a challenge, which it should. Although there are only two maps, I find equal fun on each. The PEI town is, according to the game, a Canadian setting. It is one created for building bases with your friends and farming and scavenging off the land. The wilderness, however, is for those who have items on the PEI map they can transfer over to the wilderness and do some hardcore survival. All in all, the game is very addicting when you get into it and represents what all zombie survival games today wish they could be. I give Unturned a 10/10 for captivating me for 14 hours and I hope for many more!
