Destiny 2 is free-to-play, which is an incentive to at least try it out. I played this game since the beginning, albeit, on PS4. Steam was essentially my switch to PC.

From a purely "Destiny 2 as a whole" approach the game is a looter shooter, and essentially boils down to grinding for better weapons and armor. It's rewarding, and especially now, you always feel that you're actually getting something for grinding.

The vanilla story is kinda "meh" and it is short, each DLC added a new story to the overall narrative of the game, and most are hit-or-miss.

The real fun of the game, is playing with friends and doing activities such as the Raid, Nightfall, Crucible (PVP), Strikes, Gambit, The Menagerie, etc.

I would say the game is worth giving a shot, especially with a group of people. Best of all, you start at a high Power level (750) which means you can do every activity without getting punished. The only content you actually need to level up for, is in the new DLC, Shadowkeep.

I would rate Destiny 2 a 9/10
