This game purports to be about fishing, but is it really..?? Or is it the friends we made along the way.

It is quite an amazing feat Arrowhead have pulled off. They let you play however you want at whatever level you want. Level 1 missions are like a walking simulator and Level 9s are bullet hells 🤣. But really the fact I can load up, quickplay to help my fellow Helldivers, and have a good time without toxicity is a heavensend in the world of hyper-competitive PvP games played today. The investment it generates when the narrative dictates what needs to be done and the lore/mission type/equipment unlocking that happens because of it is brilliant. So invested in fact, that major corporations became the target of our managed democracy and were felled just like a bot or bug infestation..... temporarily.

Funny lil' rouge-like that emphasizes synergies and planning over outright reflexes. Some very interesting combos arise from how you can expand your backpack or even a key item you build around. The fact that you can't pick up everything is infuriating 🤣 even punishing you for filling up your backpack via enemy "trash" that has varying effects (polar bears 😡😡😡)

Great game for a quick run, but easy to get sucked into "one more time" cause you want to unlock the next cool thing, great VO and writing

Kind of a weird, but very relatable premise, good a e s t h e t i c ,and some good creepy moments

A truly surprising game that does things I didn't think a game could/would do, both from a writing and technical standpoint. The jokes are either love or hate them, but I enjoyed them. One of the few games I actually went ahead and played through multiple times to get the different endings
