After about 400 hours of on and off play I have to say that it is perfect for somebody who just wants to play for an hour or two and have all of it be meaningful.

Rise is out at this point but I honestly prefer World to it. Rise feels like your nephew just found a beetle in the garden and is running around the house screaming. Flashy moves, fast gameplay, smaller maps.

World is slower but much more calculating, you need to know your opponent, watch and learn how they move, how they telegraph attacks, where can you get an advantage on the map. It is not sweaty or tryhardy mind, just like a dance, in and out, dodge out, swing in. The maps are much better looking than Rise as well, Rise allows you to explore more of the map but the map is much smaller by comparison. I would say world maps tend to be twice as big and thrice as fun to navigate. A giant tree with roots boring in and out of the earth creating bridges, vs... a shrine with some cliffs i guess, or a volcano with a little bit of a cave system. World feels like a world, rise just feels shallow in comparison.

World is amazing and I honestly love this game.
My only wish is my friends would play with me...
Seriously guys, I wanna play with you... James, Murph, plz, please try it out...
