I personally loved this DLC and have no major problems with it. I think a lot of the negative reviews for this DLC may have simply been due to expectations. Not that expectations were set too high, but they just expected the wrong thing.

Rain World is extremely unique, and I think people wanted "more rain world." Maybe that meant more original Rain World, maybe it meant more Downpour Rain World. Either way, what they got was something new- the Watcher Rain World. It is very different, but I think we needed that. I think everyone is entitled to their opinion, but overall I think this DLC is a very good addition to Rain World.

Go in with an open mind. And be ready to suffer (as always with this beautiful game)

Rain World is without a doubt my favorite videogame ever made. The game is extremely unique, very difficult, and intensely rewarding. Videogame logic goes out the window and instead you have to embrace an authentic animal mindset to succeed. The game rewards curiosity, caution, and the ability to learn.

The art is beautiful, the gameplay is unique and fun, and the ecosystem is convincingly simulated and extremely immersive.

It's not a game for everyone, but to me it is my favorite one ever. Give it a try!
