you start simple, by hand, then a machine helps you, so you place it down without a second thought, then you realise you can connect machines to help you faster and suddenly you have a web of of chaos that's only logical to you and gives a headache to everyone else, then you unlock the next tech level and decide to rebuild everything from scratch.

The game is brutal when you make a mistake and a large part of the community are just ♥♥♥♥♥ that like to kill everything they see. However, if you find a quiet small server with a riendly community and frendly admins the game is enjoyable. Sure you'll get raided everynow and then, but that's part of the game.
