BF3 is good overall, but the steam version is utter garbage, won't even launch when you click campaing or choose server to join, says initializing and i can wait years and it won't launch.

it is just trash how they did this. need a total of 4 programs prior of starting the game without an in-game menu. Is lazy over-prized trash.

100% agree, origin laucher ruined any nostalgia I ever had for this game, reason why I bought a console version back in the day not to putting up with PC fixes and updates to launch or run a game.

Actually it isn't about the steam version :)

I activated the game on origin many years ago and i even have the same errors while trying to connect to servers via browser -_-

Try loading up EA's Battlelog website on your web browser of choice, logging in there and joining campaign or multiplayer through that. Battlefield Hardline also uses this system as these were around that time when EA thought having an ingame UI for PC was outdated. Battlefield 4 did also use Battlelog initially, but was reverted for a more traditional UI while Battlefield 1 and later dropped the system entirely.
