I'd like to state one major gripe I want to get out of the way first, Nowhere does it say the game that is currently available is just a demo. I assumed this was just a free game on steam and went into expecting a full game experience and not a small fraction of a larger game, so I was disappointed regarding.

Other than that the visuals, sound track and atmosphere in what I played is amazing, I did feel like it was getting a little repetitive, especially once you reach the ruins, the enemy types were not varying, the combat styles weren't changing and I didn't really feel the point of a lot of the short cuts, because the checks points were either fairly numerous to the point of not needing them, or there wasn't enough variation in path and direction to give me a reason to unlock paths.

AC 6 is my first start into the AC universe and I'm so glad it is, the story is beyond amazing with concepts, themes and ideas that I still think about to this day. The game play is engaging, challenging and really makes you consider not only how you approach combat, but actively what you are bringing to a situation.

And the best part is that there is no 'one way to win', with enough dedication, planning and willingness, any load out can be viable, if you are willing to suffer through it and make it work. But at the same time, there is an easier solution if you don't want to.

The PvP is also fun, it's fantastic to get to see what other players come up with and their unique builds. If I had to say a down side to the game, it's that, but I'm not that invested in playing this games PvP hard core, I prefer it when it's casual and fun.

Plus I'm much more invested in the story and would prefer a story based DLC over more PvP. Part of me was also looking forward to more of that war criminal elements I didn't get to experience in the older AC games, seeing as this is brand new game for several generations.

overal all, great game, the only fault is I want more of it and no game scratches the same itch.

To some up really quickly for TL'DR people, it's a low effort cookie clicker style spanking game with more of a focus on cosmetics than gameplay.

I got the game because I enjoyed Amarillo's 3D artwork and a funny little game involving slapping girls butts sounded fun, however, if it was nothing but a game where you just slapped a butt I feel I wouldn't be so harsh on it. But with attempts to double down on the joke, with butt crates and mechanics it quickly becomes frustrating.

The main loop of the game is well, to slap a butt, you'll be giving a singular 3D butt, including thighs and a waist, which you must slap repeatedly using the LMB, doing so you'll accrued 'slaps' which can be used to purchases upgrades. Such as faster slaps and a right hand.

Which is possibly when most people will drop off of the game, because after that any assistance is immediately lost, you can gain a 'auto clicker' for 10,000 slaps, but that's easier said than done, because despite the increased slapping speed, it's not really a bonus. And so you'll be SLOWLY grinding out those slaps.

Now on the upside there are cosmetics you can unlock through the game to keep things interesting, such as new butt skins, which you get from 'butt crates' which randomly drop after you generate a random number of slaps. You can also get themed crates such as holiday crates.

However, these are incredibly infrequent to be engaging and don't take away from the fact you are still slowly clicking on the same but for minutes if not hours, just to unlock an auto-clicker so you can acquire more butts to look at. And from my play, you get roughly about, one crate everyone 1000, slaps or so.

This seems to be part of the games overall 'jokish' not taking itself seriously mindset. However, going by the communities use of botting, I can fairly say many people got this game to enjoy Amarillo's work and just don't enjoy the struggle of having to slog through the repetitive game play.

Speaking of Amarillo's work, when you start the game and look at all the promotional art, you'll see these very beautiful, stylised characters, however the majority of the time you won't be getting to experience any of them, instead focusing on a simple, turkey looking butt. Which, understand with the gacha mechanic of the game, however, one can not wonder, why not just have the Gacha be outfits the girls can swap between and rares being new character models.

Or if we were to focus on the cookie clicker aspect, many you could get more butts to click and slap, to increase your 'slap' count.

Either way, as the game stands, it's weirdly medium effort game, which is vaguely funny until you grow tired of it.

I feel bad for giving this, I really I WAS enjoying the game, I liked Helltakers by puzzle solving wasn't my thing, this game however, has so far been really fun!

I will stress that so far I'm playing on MEDIUM difficulty, but here is my point, the game has an issue, two big ones. The first is lag spikes. When ever there are a bunch of enemies being spawned in or a bunch attacks being performed at once, I just get a massive spike of a lag and it ends with me running into something that I can't react to.

It started happening more so round the end of the game, after the ghosts 'power up', I'll say to not give away spoilers.

But it just kept getting worse and worse as the game went on, by the time of pre-last boss it was an absolute struggle just to finish, I was really not having fun by that point, it didn't feel rewarding to beat it, I was just glad it was over.

Only to find there was another level which is where I am now. With the amount of stuff on screen and the lag spikes it's so bad.

I'm dying to projectiles I don't see, having enemies spawn right on top of me. There is just so much to keep track of. It is honestly draining and exhausting.

Keep in mind this medium difficult, I'm allowed a free hit before I die, I was considering giving hard a try after this, but NO! absolutely not.

I understand this is a free game, so you ain't paying a dime, but I still think Vanripper wants people to have a good time and not be frustrated playing.

I was super excited for this game when it was announced, but the final product is less than to be desired. For starters the gameplay is more or less untouched from the games original launch, in a bad way. No invincibility frames, even on dodges, so enemies can and will stun lock you. Combos and attacks do not chain together well and you'll find yourself repeating the same AOE based combos towards end game and onwards as it's the best way to dish out damage and keep hordes away from you.

While there are other issues with the base game, Quick Time Events Galore, I was not expecting the developers to be able to change them up without completely remaking game, but the combat they could of tweaked.

If that was just the issues though, it wouldn't be a negative sounds. Massive sound bugs, overlapping audio, dialogue and more. Sound track just turning off at random. Sound effects repeating on nauseum. Massive audio spikes and much, much more.

Massive frame rate jumps, especially around cutscenes and camera controls. Not to mention, just odd occurrences, like being flung 50ft into the air enemy or zombies walking on air or going invisible.

OH! And speaking of the Quick time events, a majority of them don't work. You don't even need to input the commands, the animations play as if you are pressing them. I once sliced a car in half, without even touching a button.

On top of this all, the titular RePop Mode, doesn't seem to add much to the game, outside of a slight lightning engine change and some censoring, which is kind of pointless, when the original is right there.

The strongest aspect of this game is it's engine, outside of that the story is bare, tedious and often confusing if you think about it for too long. They seemed to want to go with a retro indie 'the horrors are in your own head' approach, but there are elements in the game that contradict it's own narrative.

Game play it's also incredibly bare, the most involved it gets is when you get into the main house, but then there isn't much tension to be had, once you figure out that the most the game has in terms of horror is jump scare, there isn't really much to the game at all.

As for the actual horror, there are parts where the game can be tense and there are some actual cool scary ideas in here, somewhere, but a lot of it is just stuff you have seen before in other horror games and done much better.

If I had to say anything, it's a walking sim with a few puzzle elements.

I will start off by saying this game is FAR from perfect, combat isn't that deep, the story isn't that strong and there are a lot of technical issues with textures and other small bugs. However, what is here for a fetish is amazing, in all honesty this is probably one of the best fetish games I've played in some time and really uses it's genre to play with the BDSM themes.

Could it be better, yes, very much so. Nearly everything in this game is unity bought assets and free use sounds, however, hopefully, the creator will use what they learned from this to make better products with origional art and assets, maybe even hiring a story writer. Either way, I enjoyed my time.

I do not blame the developers for the recent actions, I blame Sony Entertainment and their inability to let a good thing be.

I completed this game in 85 minutes and I felt like it barely got going, I will start off by saying this game has a lot of GOOD ideas, but the problem is how it executes those ideas.

Let's start off with the main game-play concept, fishing, or to be more exact, the lack of fishing in this game. When you start off you'll be able to catch regular fish, which will get you some money, but the second you upgrade your you'll be able to catch abnormal fish, but the thing is, from what I saw there is only able normal fish the further you go down. Normal fish never become relevant.

So having a guy you sell normal fish to and a guy you sell weird fish to, becomes pointless very quickly. Especially as abnormal fish net you more money, so getting any fish but abnormal fish is pointless.

Then there is the story, what little there actually is. Your characters start about her dad and wanting to fish, never brought up again, the mysterious missing reporter who left tapes for you to find, never followed up, the mysterious shadow, plays a role, but it's never uncovered and why the only person in town is there fishermen and he seems to act normal. Never elaborated on!

It has all these ideas and concepts, but they don't go anywhere, they aren't explored, you can't even explore them. There is a guy who throws himself off the pier, you can't return to town to report it, you can't use the phone and you can't even use the fishing rod to fish up his shirt.

The game get's me invested and makes me want to know more, but it doesn't give mean me a means to do so. And I know not knowing is scary, but all I became was frustrated.

Early Access Review
I'd like to start off by saying I don't think the game is bad. The game has a lot of good things going for it, the problem however is that it also has a lot of things working against it. So starting with the good.

The controls are really good, the shooting, moving and overall feel of the game feels great. It takes a bit to get use to, but overall the game plays fairly well. Next is the art style, the art style of the game is probably it's best aspect. It helps sell that retro feel enhanced by modern software.

A lot of Retro Inspired indie games would usually going out of their way to be 100% faithful visually to create a look similar to what they had growing up, but whats interesting about Ghostware is that it doesn't do that, instead it goes with a more what if you had an indie art style, with design conventions from the modern age.

Not to mention the games humor and passion really shines through, however though this is where I need to jump to the games negative.

For starters, the AI, I don't know what it is, but allied AI seemed to be next to useless and would gladly die without a second thought, while enemy AI was too smart for it's own good, able to kill targets it shouldn't be able to see or perceive. Double teaming the player in a free for all, (at once point I was even chased by three AI during a free for all) And then finally it's pathing to health packs was second to none.

Due to the nature of the games 'portals' I had a hard time distinguishing 'reality' from the virtual world.

Speaking of reality in this game, In this game the game is effectively broken up into three sections, I'll call these section, Arena, Corridor and Adventure.

Arena sections you are introduced to at the start and assumed to be the map layout game-play is centred around, which is old school arena style combat, much quake or DOOM. However, at later portions of the game, they introduce the Corridor and Adventure sections.

In Corridors, it's effectively, travelling down corridors, traversing obstacles and clearly rooms. While adventurer is usually in much more wide open spaces, with paths to choose down for and feels more like a mini open world.

The main problem I have is these sections aren't really introduced smoothly, they change the main focus of the game and they sort of pull away from the original arena style combat of that the game introduced with. If the games level layout were abit more like DOOM Eternal or Ultrakill, where they have arena sections connected with parkour and traversal, I feel like it really help the overall feel and tone of the game play.

Chapters in the game feel incredibly short and I've been playing on Hard Difficulty.

Onto another gripe with the game, Guns. In the arena sections it makes sense to die and loose your weapons, as to not start with a overwhelming advantage and that arena game play is usually somewhat chaotic, hence the fun of it.

However, in the corridor and Adventure portions of the game, this is just incredibly frustrating. Multiple times I'd build up a small arsenal of weapons and loose all of them and have to fight with a pistol. Making me feel the game was punishing, not to mention, in some sections the guns don't re-spawn. So if you loose them, you loose them. Which is not great.

I can't say how Quake, which is clearly this games inspiration, did it's adventure and stories. But in terms of Arena style games I am familiar with, such as time splitters franchise, they tended to have the story mode layout, not reflect the same as the multiplayer. Which usually worked for the best, because while the chaotic nature of arena works well for multiplayer. Finding yourself unarmed in a progressive, feels rather unrewarding.
