yeah its pretty good, you need to wrangle 4 other dudes to play it tho

game bluescreened my pc the first time i opened it, and now every time i launch it, the game gives me an error message about corrupted files. i tried verifying integrity of game files, reinstalling, restarting, nothing worked.
the game itself is probably fine but i cannot play it so i am refunding it. i liked the first one too so its kinda a shame.

first and foremost:
its about the journey, not the destination - there isnt really an "end goal", just goals you set for yourself.

you start out in what is basically a little honda civic, earning money by doing jobs to upgrade your car(ship) or buy new ones.
you can shoot stuff, haul stuff, explore stuff, mine stuff, steal stuff, whatever - the important part is that you find which of these "gameplay loops" you enjoy. i only really like shooting stuff, so thats the only part of the game i play.

i think its worth trying out if you like space adjacent stuff - but if you dont enjoy it by the time you have upgraded your ship or bought a new one, sinking more hours into it is unlikely to change your mind.
if you have VR and/or a hotas setup, you will probably get a lot more enjoyment out of the game.

the game itself is good if you dont care about the stuff surrounding it

played the original when it came out, this is a faithful remake with surprising attention to detail. devs definitely played the game beforehand

this has to be one of the games of all time

this game is fantastic, everyone should play the campaign at least once in their life

on keyboard, the movement directions are "skewed" to match the angled levels, so dodging with W makes you go up and to the right

there is no option to toggle between movement styles

i do not wish to relearn muscle memory for 1 game
