Incredible slow burn, hard to get past those first few hours.. A big chunk of the 4 hour gameplay invested is simply leaving the game running while doing something else (couldn't get myself to finish it). Wasn't able to stay engaged with the storytelling, however much they involved references. A slow pacing of gameplay, non engaging, "puzzles" but not really.

It's a decent timesink. Ok written questlines for the most part. Lots of elevation which is both intriguing and annoying. Not lacking a variaty of items, but still lacking 'a variaty of items you will actually use'. The crafting and enhancing part is kinda eh. Easy to 100% the achievements if that's your thing. 6,5/10 kinda timesink.

Game is as good as dead

Very very very good game. I never read any books and never intend to read one, but this game just pushed that thought away. Metro 2033 was just an intro to this game (this story). I could be the only one but i just have an urge to begin reading the novels.

If you are going to play this game, be sure to play Metro 2033 first. Just having the background of the previous game is such a great help in understanding what happens in it. It's actually almost a must to play Metro 2033 first. It's not a game that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you, but I still got blown away.

For specs, i would recommend having a decent GPU and videocard. I've seen people have some problems with crashes because of bad GPU's. I'm not an expert in this so i recommend you look it up just to check.

To completely enjoy the game and atmosphere, i recommend to use headphones and dark surroundings.

This game has two sides, you can either go full rambo and shoot the bastards to pieces or you could be a stealthy ninja and only kill when needed (or kill them all sillently).

The game is all about bunny jumping, spraying, unbalancend stuff and maps that are to small in comparison to how agile you are. If you want to play a shooter with the same agility, than play Titanfall, it's practicly the same but bigger maps so you won't be on the other side of the map in 2 seconds.
The bunny jumping is just terrible. All everyone does is double jump, double jump and double jump. Along the way they spray with any recoil at all.
And the baddest part of this game is it only exist for a week or two and there already are a lot of hackers.
Don't get me started about the matchmaking, level just doesn't matter. So as a new guy, you'll be matched against people who play 24/7.
Last but not least, some maps lag terribly. I looked it up and looks like 90% of the players have the same problem, apparently some maps are badly configured and cause the map to lag.
It's far from worth his money. I would recommend you to wait for the price to plummet or look for another shooter.

This is a great follow up from shogun 2 and a great upgrade from rome 1. It's a must play!
