Good idle game.
Great art with a funny story and a bit of a twist at the end
Updates are regular and, while many consider this to be a "niche fetish" (hypnotism) it's an enjoyable game whether that's your thing or not.

Devs engage in cancel culture practices
They abandoned fellow developer and one time collaborator when he got himself in a bind and rather than stand and support him like a friend/colleague SHOULD (or remain neutral), they dropped him, scrubbed the collab, and tried to sweep it all under the rug.

Pointless sandbox

Fun little visual novel that's more of a romp than anything else.

You won't find anything all that epic or world-shaking story-wise, this plot is pretty linear and straightforward. Basically, what we've got here is a typical boy meets catgirl sort of story: he's an ordinary guy with a good heart, she's a lost stray, they meet, he takes her home to care for her, he wins her trust, they get busy A LOT, and they eventually fall in love and live happily ever after. However, for me at least, I thought the artwork that went into this was amazing. Rin is adorable and her VA is PERFECT for her character design (nope, not gonna make a cat joke).

For what it is, $8 wasn't a bad price (It'll be $10 at regular price) so, if you have a thing for the catgirls, this is a worthy addition to your library.

On its surface, Breeders of the Nephelym comes across as being little more than a monster girl porn game. However, if you dig deeper, you will find that there is also a breeding simulator in this game – one that will require you to use a great deal of strategy that you might not be expecting from an AO rated game.

Game play and camera control both appear to be fairly solid to me (I say 'appear' to be because I'm playing on an older computer and I'm topping out at a whopping 10 frames per second meaning I can barely run BotN). Thus far, I found BotN to be highly addictive and rather challenging despite it claiming to be in alpha at the moment (to be honest, it feels more like a beta, but I digress).

The Nephelym come in 12 races players can encounter and will vary from being quite monstrous and beastial in appearance to looking to more human than monstrous so players with a furry fetish should quite pleased with BotN. Also worth mentioning, is that most of the races encountered will have 3 gender variations: male, female, and futanari (Google if you don't know); as do the breeders that the player can control. Some races have only 2 genders (female and futa), and some races actually have multiple sub species for their race (i.e.: the race called Sylvan can be either elves, orcs, or goblins). To capture the critters in this game, you simply approach them (or they approach you) and engage in sexual activity and, as a breeder, you simply need to outlast the creature you're having sex with (by rapidly clicking left mouse button); provided you have the appropriate habitat to store that creature in. Because male breeders cannot catch male creatures and female breeders cannot catch female creatures, this becomes the first example of where strategy comes into play when capturing monsters: finding out what each creature likes so you can capture it sans sexual activity (futa breeder on the other hand can catch everything by using sex).

As the game progresses, you can slowly begin building up your ranch and raising the money necessary to raise the overall quality of the Nephylim in the world through the goddesses avatar. Obviously, as the player unlocks more traits for the creatures, some traits are more desirable than others and you can quickly see if the creatures that you are attempting to engage in have qualities you want or do not want before you even attempt to capture them.

All in all, Breeders of the Nephelym feels like a blend of Monster Rancher meets Pokémon where the breeding your critters is just as fun as hunting them down. As I said earlier this game is in alpha at the moment but, from what I've seen to this point, it has a solid foundation and could very easily turn into one hell of a game.

Okay, now that my review is out of the way, I'm gonna do something I don't normally do. One of the things that impressed me most about this game is that is being done by ONE DUDE (and this is not the first time I've seen one guy make a game of better quality than the big name studios). The guy calls himself Derelict Helmsman and he has a Patreon account so, if you like this game want to the toss the guy a couple of bucks to help him keep developing this game you can hit up his Patreon page[www.patreon.com]. Yet another load of rubbish from bch waves and, true to form, it's pretty much just what we've all come to expect from them by now.

Vauge, inane, and pointess story? CHECK!
Unremarkable characters whose names seem to keep changing on a whim? CHECK!
Dreadful music with even more dreadful looking backgrounds? CHECK!
Achievements that spam your bachonkas off for a minimum of 2¾ hours so you can't refund when it's all over? CHECK!

Was there anything new amid this sorry excuse for a...whatever the heck this trainwreck was supposed to be?
Well, there actually was some full frontal nudity this time out. However, both girls were so bad that, had they been real, I would've given them my shirt to cover up with. Not for decency's sake, but to keep from being ill (seriously, that "nurse" was so ugly that I kinda threw up in my mouth a little bit every time they showed her).

I know it's only a dollar, but seriously, DO NOT BUY THIS VN! It's not worth the dollar you'd be paying, and you'd accomplish more by taking the dollar bch waves is asking for it and giving to a bum on a street corner somewhere holding up a sign saying "Homeless, Hungry, Please Help".

Maybe if all of us band together and stop buying this crap from bch waves, they'll up their game and start making better VNs. Yeah, I lnow I'm asking for the impossible, but I can dream, yeah?

Deep Space Waifu was a great game with a silly premise: use a spaceship to strip pretty girls down so you can snap a picture of them. But, believe it or not, I have had a few friends say that they dislike that game (and anime in general) because most of the girls in games and anime have an unrealistic breast size. Until now.

Deep Space Waifu: Flat Justice is not only the sequel we never knew we wanted, but it's fanservice is geared toward the fans of the more less endowed ladies with only one of the girls being larger than a C Cup (the aptly maned Miss Oppai).

Do you remeber the great gameplay that you loved and enjoyed from the orginal Deep Space Waifu? Still there, along with a few different power ups to enable you to truly mix things up. The art is as good as the first game, the controls are solid, the music is great, and the challenge is not only there, but turned up a notch because there's a wider variety of bosses to fight in this installment than the previous one. And of course, the return of the one handed mode for those wanting to turn DSW into a 'twin stick shooter'.

What's more, there is now a story behind this game, albeit a ridiculous one: you are tasked with finding a legendary hidden waifu the public desperately wants. However, there is a secret organization that is not only hiding her, but thanks to rampant corruption within a police department the investigation has ground to a halt. So in order to locate this waifu you need to uncover this corruption by dating every woman on the police force. There is lots of sexually oriented tounge-in-cheek humour to get at least a chuckle or two out of players before they go back to dodging everything but the kictchen sink.

So, if you loved the first Deep Space Waifu, go on ahead and grab this sequel. I mean, it's base cost is only $2 so you have no reason to NOT get it.

Deep Space Waifu is one of those games that you start playing, and you have a hard time putting it down. It's challenging without being frustrating, the two powerups in the original game (laser and rocket launcher) are both pretty respectable and vary in effectiveness depending upon how you play. The Academy DLC adds some new powerups (like heavy machine gun) but I prefer the good old laser. The controls are tight, very straight forward, and easy to remember so there's no fumbling with the controller for this game. Oh, don't have a controller? I recommend getting one for this game - it'll make your life a whole lot easier. The music is pretty good and downright catchy and you might gut find yourself nodding to the beat without even realizing you're doing it.

Speaking of beats...once you clear each girl, it unlocks the "one handed mode" so you have a free hand if you wish to ... let's just say, "play DSW as a 'twin stick shooter'" and leave it at that.

A lot of people gripe about the quality of the art in this game, but I'm not going to go there because:
1) Art is subjective and one man's Picaso is another man's rubbish and
2) I personally can't even draw stick people very well, so I have no business commenting on the value of other people's artwork.
I will say that some of the girls do indeed look better than others, but even with real women, isn't that the case?

My only real gripe with Deep Space Waifu was that the DLC doesn't have achievements for clearing those girls. It's not exactly a deal breaker, but it would've been nice to have the extra achievements to shoot for.

All in all, there's a a lot of entertainment here for the asking price of a paltry $2. If you like anime, ecchi, shmups, or any combination of the three, grab this game - you'll have a blast.
