Short, atmospheric, visually raw, great music, minimal but simple plot, a vast labyrinth to comb through, and a genius premise.

Big fan of both Alien and The Thing, both of which this game is inspired by. Not too many games do reverse horror or let you play as some monster/animal so this is a huge breath of fresh air to play. I wouldn't consider myself good at Metroidvanias even though I quite enjoyed Metroid Prime. So this is definitely a good one to get your feet wet with if you're new to the genre. I 100% it on my first try. It's easier than most others, but don't let that fool you. Definitely gotta build your arsenal, use the environment to outflank opponents, and remember where you've been.

This has quickly and easily become one of my favorite indie games alongside Shovel Knight. I also don't typically write reviews of games either so the ride this game took me on was fun enough to warrant one.

Please play Carrion.

Wish I could play this, but it crashed three times when I joined a server.
