Warband was a gem that I doubt will ever be topped, but as a game in its own right I thoroughly enjoy Bannerlord, the melee (although not on Warband's level) feels smooth and a lot less janky than I was expecting after reading reviews. The new take on multiplayer, with a focus on 6 vs 6 competitive style matches are fun and engaging and the singleplayer is a thrill.
People have complained about the bugs and crashes, yet for me atleast it runs smoothly at 60fps on high settings and hasnt crashed once.

From someone who has 2.2k hours in warband, take it from me. IF bannerlord reaches its full potential by the end of early access it is a more than worthy succesor to everyone's favourite medieval multiplayer game, Mount and Blade warband.
