10/10, a short horror game where you pilot a sub through an ocean of blood and your only view of the outside is a slow camera.

I really enjoyed the background lore. Albeit mostly irrelevant to the gameplay, it's an interesting premise.

Controls for the sub are mildly stressful to work with, especially when the collision sensors are beeping. If you so much as tap a wall, BOOM, you're dead. Fortunately there is plenty of time after the sensors trigger to allow the sub to decelerate without having to reverse.

The "wall" before top-left anomaly got me really good after I realized there shouldn't be a wall there, absolutely amazing setup and scare.

10/10. Very short game,

I love both how the lore is dispersed through files that take time to decrypt so you can only read one per level and how the electronics degrade over time as well.

While the lore is also short, I just happened to decrypt them in the perfect order for the ending to hit perfectly.

Limited view of the outside (via the slow camera) adds immensely to the suspense, and I love it.

a wreck of some kind photobombed one of my planet pictures, a micro meteor struck the ship during travel scaring me half to death, and an unknown object photobombed another picture but was no longer there when I took another.

A nice little game I 100%ed within 6 hours of playtime.

Very wholesome till you start achievement hunting, with one of the achievements requiring to see every possible loddle growth path.

Then you end up kidnapping loddles from their homes and hiding them in the only place lacking food, your proverbial basement/home base, for the sole purpose of guiding their growth with strict diets.

10/10, would recommend as a weekend relaxant.

Mistook a landmine for scrap, was proven wrong within 2 seconds.

TLDR; Overall, 10/10, you'll find many ways to die in here.

The graphics may look old, but they fit the atmosphere amazingly well.

There's not very many moons to explore, but they are randomized each time
you land. Combined with events like rain or eclipse, you never know what will
show up or happen next.

Lot's of different hostile entities, not that they are the only dangers, with the
possibility of drowning, falling, and landmines.

Tons of fun with friends, especially with ingame vc (the audio is modified
under certain conditions, like drowning). I believe up to 4 players can play
together normally, but I've heard of a mod that ups it to at least 20.

You'll start out with no equipment, needing to buy it when you can whilst
reaching the profit quota from selling scrap. I highly recommend flashlights
and walkie talkies, at least 2, with 1 person remaining on the ship to watch
the radar as it shows when enemies are nearby.

For a game in Early Access, it's much higher quality compared to other
Early Access titles.

Easy to learn, difficult to master is the motto for this game.

You only have three methods of movement, using the wasd keys like an fps, left-click to fire a shot that can launch you further, and the crouch/slide option for getting through low spaces. But how, where, and when you land a shot determines how it's going to launch you.

Something that's not immediately apparent about the wasd movement is moving forward and either left or right is faster than moving forward. So if you're having trouble getting neon medals, this will help.

It doesn't take too long to complete and get the achievements, I got all 20 of them within 5 hours.

Linux support is almost perfect, but lag spikes appear in two levels, the one where you have to move with a laser cage and the end, making it difficult to aim as it throws sensitivity through the roof. Lag spikes also appear in the "lights off" version of the levels, but they're not too bad, just don't play with ultra graphics. Also if you open the steam ui ingame and exit it, the mouse pointer breaks and can't click any buttons.

All in all, I rate 7/10, great game.

This game is amazing, beautiful graphics, amazing music, a brilliant and expansive workshop community (if you love megastructures, check out Gigastructural Engineering), and with complex mechanics, there's always something new to learn.

My only two problems are the endgame lag and the dlc. The lag gets really bad after a couple hundred years or so. I've even started a couple games with my species' goal to eradicate all known life in an attempt to stave off the real endgame crisis, lag. Fortunately the lag can be lowered immensely by lowering the priority of jobs with open slots, but it requires a lot of micro-management, especially if you plan on colonizing the entire galaxy.

As for the dlc, I love all of them, don't get me wrong, I love the content they add to the game, but they are pretty expensive. So I always try to buy the dlc when they're on a good sale, but every time I finally manage to buy all the dlc, Paradox releases another one! So I never have a complete collection for long. If you like to have a complete collection of dlc for your games, this one will suck you dry.

P.S. For those who play on Linux, this game will perform significantly better on it, especially if you have a lot of mods. Loading times can be as long as 20 minutes on Windows 10, whereas on Linux it drops to no more than 2 minutes. I haven't tested endgame lag yet, but I'll update when I do.

Edit: Grammar
