My Steam account says I've played for 23 hours but I've played for far longer on a vast number of platforms. PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, my PHONE. DOOM is a timeless game. Its simplicity was due to limitations at the time but the developers still did everything they could within the boundaries they were held to by the technology of the time, and it is absolutely great.

DOOM and DOOM 2 are both absolutely fantastic. DOOM was one of the first shooters I played, the other being Halo 2. I was born in 2005 so I didn't play it on the platform it released on, but I played it through the Xbox 360 Arcade (R.I.P.) and it has stuck with me ever since. It reminds me of my dad, and sure, I love it for those sentimental reasons, but it has also stuck with me because it is simply a great game. Its style is hard to replicate and its simplicity works in its favor while still allowing for scary and intense moments. It may be old but that doesn't mean that it is incapable of what it set off to do in '93. DOOM has stuck through the years due to it's large modding scene but also just because it is simply an amazing shooter. The fact that it is still getting love to this day, both by the fans and the publisher/developers, is a testament to how timeless DOOM 1 & 2 are. The gameplay and experiences of both are still unmatched, there are better games out there, there are far more complex games, but there isn't any game that is just like DOOM.

Thank you for porting the game again and allowing even more people to experience the game in an even better form. DOSBox isn't for everyone, plus it can be hard to find a good source port and all (btw, GZDoom is best for easy modding and PRBoom is best for a more classic experience and some modding). I'm glad the game that got me into gaming for, so far my whole life, is still getting as much love from others as I give it.

Making a positive review just to combat the "SERVER ISSUES!!!" complaints. If the biggest issue with your game is that people want to play it, you probably have a great game, and you do. Haven't dove too deep into the game yet but I'm already having an absolute blast. I'm super sorry a bunch of you guys can't play the game due to server issues, don't get me wrong, but this is a surely temporary issue. Just give it time.

TL;DR: While buggy at launch, the game has been (mostly, emphasis on most) fixed, which has allowed it's stellar story and gameplay to shine.

I picked up Cyberpunk and its' expansion a few weeks ago. I had past experience of playing a trial (Basically two free hours of gameplay) on my PS5 about a year ago, which lead to me deciding that the story and setting wasn't for me. The story did admittedly seem interesting to me at first, but I hadn't really gotten much further than the tutorial mission when I called it a day and said that I didn't enjoy the game enough to buy it. Despite my previous experience with the game, when I saw it half off in a bundle that included the DLC Expansion I remembered a friend that had said Cyberpunk was one of the best games he had played in recent time. I've yet to play the expansion yet, but I'm on my second playthough after having spent about 20-35 hours on my first character (I might've left the game on a bit here and there so I'm not sure how long I actually took in all honesty).

I may not have had the same negative reaction that others have had with Cyberpunk, but I am still glad that I took a second chance with the game. I heard about all of the horrible bugs that it released with like anyone else and while I still can't get that one intro cutscene of V and Jackie to play completely bug free, I'm very happy with how the game has performed. I, on my 3070 running at 4k using roughly medium settings, experience a very solid frame rate, with the major reoccurring issue being NPCs taking their time to load in high-poly models. If I drive around the city too fast, especially when coming in from the less populated areas, I will tend to see the road disappear (visually, the clipping still exists) below me and take a moment to load back in, but I've never had this be an issue during missions, at the very least. Still, a problem that persists, and is annoying when I'm trying to avoid using the fast travel system.

Speaking of the fast travel system, I found myself not even realizing it existed until about 8 hours into my first playthough. Whether it be the game not telling me or my own ignorance, I completely missed it, and I don't consider this a bad thing whatsoever. Night City is so much fun to explore, even when you're just traveling from point to point. Gawking at the vibrant neon while sliding around on a motorcycle (which is, as I've been told, Akira-esq) is just a wonderful experience.

Whether it be a crash-course for your dramatic chase or the set to an emotional conversation you're having, Night City and it's surroundings are incredibly well crafted. It feels brimming with life and possibilities, and if you choose to explore those route you will be rewarded. I'm not a side quest type of guy, but side-questing and exploring the lives of the characters you meet is fulfilling in both gameplay and story. Cyberpunk is a great singleplayer game in that it is full of both gameplay and story; you feel like you are getting a movie alongside your shooter/RPG.

This is all to say that Cyberpunk has had issues in the past that have been ironed out, for the most part. I could attribute the glitches I've had to my own setup not being quite powerful enough for the settings I've forced it to run, though other people seem to have the same issues at times as well, such as mouths not always moving in conversations. I wouldn't say that you should necessarily "buy at your own risk" as the game is absolutely wonderful and has sparse (albeit repeatable) issues, but I would say that you may want to wait until there is a sale, especially if you aren't absolutely sure that you want to get the game.

If you aren't sure this is your type of game remember you can always easily refund it if you haven't owned it for too long and haven't played it for more than two hours. If you've played it for longer than two hours and you're having issues: Don't forget you can contact support for help with the game or help with refunding the game. Support isn't too lenient with that though sometimes, so just remember to contact a real individual and not go through the automated refund system if you're genuinely having issues.

Early Access Review
Believe the rave reviews you've been hearing about this game. This is one of those indie games that steps it's way out of obscurity for a damn good reason. My literal only complaints are that A: you cannot change your key bindings, and B: You cannot play with more than three other people without mods. The mod for adding a higher player count is easy to install and works flawlessly from my own experience and what I've heard so far, and it seems a bit silly to me that the player count hasn't been increased by the devs just yet. I 100% get that this game wont be quite as scary for some people with more people around, but we can't get even two more people? Eight total players can't be done? I wish this was allowed in the main game and a warning would pop up saying that the game isn't balanced around a player count higher than four or something, because playing with one other person or even alone is such an amazing experience in a game that deserves recognition.

You know it's a good game when my main complaint is that I can't play it with more people.

Buy the game, go in blind, and have fun with your friends or some randos. Seriously, you will not regret it even if you aren't typically interested in horror games.

Baldur's Gate 3 feels so unique. It's a game releasing in today's market that is fully polished, heavily loved by its developers, and packed full of content. Baldur's Gate 3 is the game to pick up if you love RPGs, but even if you don't like them, or turn based combat, I still highly recommend it. I personally don't like RPGs much but this game has really gotten me into them.

Mood spoilers ahead. I absolutely recommend that you play this game blindly, this is one of the most memorable games I've ever played.

Doki Doki Literature Clubs' ending still gives me this feeling of sadness/remorse for the end of the game, this feeling that there was a happy place that existed that is just gone now where nothing can be done about it, a feeling I'm sure many of us have experienced IRL. The song at the end and the themes it explores impact me personally, and how it builds up to deliver this message is absolutely wonderfully well crafted. I will always remember this game and hope someday I can introduce it to a friend so they can play through it blindly like I did. I wrote this review because the game came up in my thoughts so I clicked on a playthrough and watched some of the most memorable parts, which made me remember how much it impacted me when I first played it, and realize that it still impacts me in the same way today. I don't like visual novels, I don't really like anime, and I feel still that this is an experience that I can come back to and thoroughly enjoy.

Fantastic port with some great new features. Unironically, release all of the other games so I can buy them all. Thank you.

This is a charming hour or so long game based on everyone's favorite quirky Twitch streamer/Nevada-based maniac, Jerma985. That being said, you probably won't enjoy this game very much if you don't watch Jerma. Even still, if you're looking for some quick point and click adventure fun, you may still enjoy this game. Prior knowledge of the Jerma "lore", as it is known, isn't necessary, but it is definitely recommended for a better experience. Recommended for anyone who is a fan of Jerma, especially since it's free.

From someone who's put countless hours into L4D2 and TF2 (Damn, I can't say "countless hours" since Steam literally tracks your playtime.), this game is an absolutely fantastic co-op shooter with a lively and kind community. You'll have trouble loading into a game and finding teammates that are incompetent or rude, and every class is viable, fun, and a team player in their own way. Similar to TF2, each class has their own set of tools, weapons, and grenades, with most tools doubling as both to varying degrees of success. The gunner can place ziplines and a bubble shield, the engineer builds turrets and platforms, the scout grapples to places and lights up the area, and the driller is completely built to destroy terrain with two massive drills and C4 (and his flamethrower can even destroy some terrain, like ice or organic material.). Communication between teammates is easy, even if you don't want to use voice chat. Hell, even if you don't want to use text chat either. By this I mean you can ping anything in the area with a laser pointer device, which also tells you the name of whatever you're pointing it at, as well as it's function, which makes learning your environment incredibly easy. Although the laser pointer with it's ping functionality is the only other form of communication outside of voice and text chat, it is more than capable of doing it's job and doing it well. Pinging anything of importance will make your dwarf call out what it is, usually calling out a voiceline that will explain it's function better. You can also press C to call your minecart on legs, the M.U.L.E., or Molly, and V to give a hearty salute, usually in the form of the famous "ROCK AND STONE!".
Speaking of your environment, every single bit of it is destructible. Can't reach the gold on the walls? Dig to it, or ask your engineer to place a platform on it so you, as the gunner or scout, can grapple to it. Need to place some pipes from your base to a liquid morkite pump, but there's every bit of rock imaginable in your way? Ask the digger, he'll have a path carved out for you in maybe a minute at worst.
The combat is the main reason this game is a co-op game, and it is quite refined. Regardless of your team composition, so long as each of your dwarves are competent you should be just fine. This doesn't mean that an experience team will be able to breeze through a mission on the hardest difficulty whether you're all playing one class or something more balanced, but it does mean that you can generally play whatever class you like.
Playing whatever class you like and keeping a balanced team is especially easy with the server browser, allowing you to search for any difficulty and for server distance, so that you can get the best possible connection. If you want to play a specific mission, clicking on it will give you the option to browse for that mission in particular through the server browser, you could host a server, or even play on your own.
When playing on your own, you will have a drone to help you fight, dig, and light up the area around you, named Bosco. Bosco is rather reliable, and able to revive you two times per mission, unless you have an upgrade to increase that, but you can still only increase his revives by one.
Reviving other players is rather easy and only as stressful as you let it be, as there is no bleed out timer on downed players. Reviving is as simple as holding E on another player, and you can revive one-another as often as you need to, with no limit on your revives or downs.
Similar to L4D2 and TF2 however, the main focus of the game is the missions themselves. There are milestones to meet and upgrades to obtain, but I'd say they aren't the main focus of the game. Definitely important and definitely there, but when even a dwarf with no upgrades or perks can perform competently on a difficult mission.
So what is the main focus of the game? There is a progression in the form of assignments, which unlock different things. Assignments are a series of missions like the rest which you must complete to reach it's reward. Assignments unlock new missions/difficulties, weapons, and are the way you unlock promotion for your dwarves, as long as you have the money (in game currency and materials) required, and have reached a specific level.
Dwarves each have their own level, and can level up to level 25 before needing to prestige. Once you've reached level 25, you will need to prestige that dwarf or else they will not receive XP. Levelling up a dwarf contributes to your player level, which will always take 3 dwarf level-ups to increase by one. Levelling up your dwarf will unlock new upgrades for your dwarf, which are kept once you promote them. Hence, why you aren't prestiging your dwarf, you are just promoting them. Levelling up your player rank doesn't seem to unlock much of anything past the start of the game, so it's essentially just a good way to tell how experienced a person is with the game.

All in all, this game well worth the $30 for a refined co-op experience that will have you shouting "ROCK AND STONE!" and complaining about the damn M.U.L.E. being too far away all the way to your grave. It is certainly among the likes of other co-op shooters like L4D2 and TF2, and picking it up on sale is an even more worth while buy. This game has paid DLC, but they are ALL cosmetic. Every other bit of DLC comes in the form of completely free updates, and is a shining example of how great free updates can be for a game and it's community. Truly a diamond in the rough, and completely worth your time. Enjoy!

TL;DR: Buy this game. It's really good.

Edit: I voted for this in the 2022 Steam Awards for the Labor of Love award, and I hope you do too!
